I think this may be more than the recommended daily intake of carbs

Be careful when drilling plat like that my advice would be, to put bit wood down or get a vice for the bench drill. I can talk form years of experience as I split my hand and 2 finger open and broke 2 fingers. I was driling a big bit plat out with a big Carlton and it got caught I've am a welder/mechanic and farmer by trade been drilling hole for years and it took just 1 time. Also be careful when wearing gloves they don't get caught

Most people don’t get this, but repetition like this vastly improves one’s technique, quality and speed. Now I need 8 more MTD abandoned lawn tractors to make an even 10 needing resuscitation. 👍😂🔧🧰

I'm finding more and more of these carbs are warping and leaking these days. Maybe something to do with ethanol in the petrol, I'm not sure. You can help against this by sandwiching the diaphragm between two gaskets. I notice you didn't remove the main jet, easily done with a flat screwdriver.

Man, that "pulsa-prime" style carb has been crap ever since it came out in 1990! The adjustable ones before 1990 were so much better, even though some of them were plastic. But I have to say, these newer ones are well built in comparison to what we get on those chinese OHV engine clones in the last couple of years!
