X166 - GL Class - Trailer Brake Controller

Here you will see how I installed the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller on my 2016 Mercedes-Benz GL-450. It was used to pull a 7000 lb Tandem Trailer across the country almost 2000 miles and worked flawlessly for me!

This model can be found easily on websites like Amazon at the time of this recording/posting. You will need a special adapter to just plug it in, otherwise splicing is always an option.

I wish you showed us where the brake controller wire is for the trailer in the back of the vehicle to use it for a 7 way plug.

What wiring harness did you end up using to plug into the green connector on the vehicle then into the controller? Or did you use that same harness but rewired it? What wiring diagram did you use? Thanks...

Won't the controller and cable interfere with the lower leg airbag deployment?
