Happy New Year Jon. Weather is pretty pants in England as well. Looking forward to the bike tours... everytime I'm in Wales it tends to be the hilly bits, so best of luck if you are going up them with the bike!

Very true the hills are everywhere here so I have opted for electric pedal assist. Like having bionic legs when you need them...lol

Hello Sir. A few Questions. What is your Take on the FrSky X10s transmitter?
@TWSreviews2 жыл бұрын
I waited for the X20S. I liked the quality but not the layout. I always felt the screen should be on top. I previously had the X7 and they redesigned the switch layout in the 2nd version, angled them to stop accidental switching for pinchers on the sticks. I always felt the the x10 was based on the old switch layout. It is a nice quality radio and people are upgrading it with Ethos

Hi, thanks a lot for your videos. I am considering buying the X20: do hou have any evidence of X20 range in 2.4 GHz only (before telemetry is lost and before a signal alert)? I am also planning to buy TD receivers: are you aware of possible interference between the two frequencies or other issues? Thanks a lot
@TWSreviews2 жыл бұрын
no sorry I haven't done any videos pushing the range. What I can say is that at my local flying club I have not had a brown out on 2.4ghz. I did once have a range issue and had telemetry lost announcements but later found one of the antennas broken. As they were cheap I purchased r9 receivers and being 900mhz give me considerable range so all my FPV models are now on r9. In the uk however, for us to keep telemetry on r9 we have to run on 25mW which is pretty much the same range as 2.4ghz receivers. I have mine on 100mW and no telemetry but will never exceed the miles of range of the 5.8ghz video so no worries. Be aware that height is your friend for range. Flying low and behind hills is a recipe for disaster with whatever you use. Good luck, you won't be disappointed with the radio. LOS use 2.4 and FPV use r9 and no more worries with radio link so focus your efforts on video loss. I hope this helps. Jon

@@TWSreviews Hi, I found a serious a problem with the Tandem receiver TD R10 (2.4 Ghz+900 Mhz): the servos start to jitter / chatter strongly when I install the receiver in the fuselage (analog servos, Hitech and Emax). The issue disappears when I turn off the telemetry or wrap the 900 Mhz antenna with aluminum foil, so the issue should be the 900 Mhz telemetry. Unfortunately it is not possible to turn it off separately from the 2.4 Ghz telemetry! Does anyone know if the normal 2.4Ghz receivers have the same jitter issue?
@TWSreviews2 жыл бұрын
@@giovannivitali9536 that doesn’t sound good. Is it only when the radio is close to the receiver. It sounds like there is a serious issue and maybe resolved with a FW update. It may be worth checking with FrSky support.

why worry about crossfire 900mhz already there don't get it ?
@TWSreviews2 жыл бұрын
There has been a lot of comments from viewers. Not interested in the radio unless it supports crossfire. That is fine, I understand their frustration when they have invested in crossfire receivers. Me personally, I am really happy because the cost of R9 receivers are low and they work well for me. Great range and great price.

@@TWSreviews i have crossfire there software is not that good so i am switching to tandem x18s for that reason and cost of receivers and the amount of inputs, as crossfire is only a 6ch pwm input and 12 crsf mode where frsky way more thats why im ditiching crossfire also the telemetry drops out way to soon too not that great imo

@@dwexoticmaple Thanks for the feedback. I have never had crossfire and never understood all the hype about. Having a radio that does 2.4 and 900 without modules and antennas has been nice. I love ethos and sure you will be pleased with your new radio.

@@TWSreviews the hype for us is that crossfire is a simple and elegant system. It is like apple in the sense that it just works, works well, and requires almost zero tinkering to get it running.

I have Crossfire 868 MHz on a Radiomaster...and ELRS 2.4g is the way forward...Pleased for you matey if it's what you want. For me, it's just the same electronics in a more expensive fancy case..😳🇬🇧

Just looked up ELRS 2.4g and was very interesting to see how small and compact the receivers are and such positive feedback. So much choice out there now.
@EnglishTurbines3 жыл бұрын
@@TWSreviews Yes, 2.4g ELRS will become the norm very fast. Even the LOS brigade will end up using it is my prediction. It's the CRSF technology of course, but much cheaper due to no Dev costs....🤔😳🇬🇧

@@TWSreviews I'm using CRSF Nano RXs...I predict a price drop in these as the ELRS takes hold..In which case, I won't need ELRS...Matek also make a decoder PCB for Nano RXs, works great, 6 pinouts and vbatt on telemetry too..🤔😳🇬🇧
