That beginning was hilarious, I laughed especially when you poured the dettol over the package. I’m sure that once you update the module you’ll be able to use it.

Team Wooly Sheep Reviews , shame that you have to do that, I updated my jumper t16 to the latest version and I’ve had trouble with it, so I’m going back at least 1 update, and hopefully that will sort it out, if not I’ll go 1 more.

Your video was a bit too quick, no need to buy a module for it. You just need to update the firmware of your Multi Protocol Module, see github.com/pascallanger/DIY-Multiprotocol-TX-Module/releases or downloads.multi-module.org/. L9R is now supported!

Don't know if this is the same problem you're having but I bought one of the first T16s with the external multi module. I bought a Frsky D8 compatible receiver, two of them and neither one would bind to my radio. It would act like it took the bind from the transmitter but after cycling the power, it was not connected. I updated all of the firmware to the latest version. Long story short. I ordered one of the internal multi modules, installed it and Voila! It worked. Apparently the external module was faulty. It would bind to other protocols but not Frsky. Hope you get it straightened out. Stay safe!

Fantastic good and funny video. I have this transmitter and am very happy with it. I have read that it does not work so well with uhf modules.

Thomas Velsvik they apparently have added filtering in this version. Apart from the L9R issue I think it’s a great transmitter for the money

Not sure if it’ll help but have you tried adjusting the frequency tuning and seeing if those receivers will bind after doing so? The frequency tuning setting on the T16 comes set at 0, I’ve had to change this to -25 or so and then some of my receivers bound without any problems. After binding tune the frequency to the mid point, there are other videos on KZbin that cover this procedure.

I have just one L9R Rx....EZUHF...R9M...You will need the external XJT Module for sure...The Multimodule ain't up to it TBH..I can see why you like the T16 though feels slim in your hands, I like that.
@spyder0000694 жыл бұрын
Don't need the xjt. With the new firmware the internal module flys L9R fine. I have already flown at some pretty good range with it. I will say the xjt puts out more power than the internal module. The internal module you need to upgrade the wire inside from the module to the antenna connector. It boosts it from some where around 58 mw to more like 95 mw. I am prettery sure the xjt still puts out a little more than that. But you can always make up for that by using a directional antenna.

Too bad you purchased an obsolete radio now it's the T18. Lots of people at our field are having lots of reliability issues with T16. Next time purchase a proper radio that will be supported.

To fix that you open the radio and use copper tape and line the rear cover with it and then solder a wire on the copper tape and attach it to ground( you can use the ground at the battery in jack). I fly both dragon link at high power and crossfire and my units work fine after this mod.

Your amateur griping is misplaced. Don't hate on Jumper for your own failures: Ultimately, it's on other companies trying to lock this shit out. When you figure out how to do this properly, I hope to see a proper update video.

Thanks for the comments. I think you misunderstood but have complimented the radio consistently. My failings??? My findings! Just like lots of others. It’s not only about quad flying. What I am wary of is the multi-protocol unit. I have done three videos and my conclusions are for me to stick with the FrSky module for reliability with my long range L9R receivers. Time will tell if the radio is doing well. You get what you pay for in this life and very often the corners cut are to our models detriment. Yes I am an amateur. I don’t make any money doing this, I don’t get any free stuff but have a lot of experience that I share as part of my hobby. Some will like it Some won’t Thankful I have a real job....lol
