I've got a pretty bad rattle at 5400 rpm. A little below that and a little above that it goes away. Thank you for giving me something I can check.

Thanks. I know it was kinda hokie bending the clip like I did, but not too hard to change out later if I want

Also what lift is that makes work a lot easier for an older guy like me I dont bend as easy as I used to

Not sure the brand. Bought it used. But it's almost identical to the Harbor Freight ones I've seen. HEAVY DUTY and strong. Lifts my 2500HD with no problems

Does that rear universal joint need to be clocked a certain way to the front universal joint ?
@HooverManeuvers4 жыл бұрын
good point. in reviewing the video I couldn't remember if I did that or not. definitely on my mind as with my previous car, 2015 XP100, I had the driveline rebuilt to do just that
@robertknasel22704 жыл бұрын
Question is what caused the failure and would you recommend the product?
@HooverManeuvers4 жыл бұрын
The failure was the C clip on the driveline dislodged. The old one was reused. Probably a more proper method would be to replace that C clip.

@@HooverManeuvers was the bearing a press fit, or did it just slip on?

@@HooverManeuvers any problems since, I was going to pass on their product based on your title, and your first video, I am thinking it would be better if it was a split design like Super ATV with a tighter tolerance bearing that would press on, that would take some stress off of the snap ring, I think the snap ring should only keep the bearing from beginning to move but not be as stressed as it seems to be. Also may not be fair to have a title and part one video to them, because you are most likely casing them a lost of business. If the part is substandard then it may be deserved.

@@robertknasel2270 I believe they have a newer design now. Nonetheless I haven't had a problem since the video. I would recommend this product.

I'm not against bending the c-clip a little, but if you find yourself in that position again, try to make 4 or 5 much smaller bends all the way around the clip instead of focusing all the force on one spot. Might take a pair of pliers and clamp and bend a little in the different spots so the stress isn't focused. Not being critical here. I admire the video and the very useful information, and I'm just trying to share a little work around if you find yourself in a situation like that again where a c clip is a little loose. It's worth taking the extra minute or two to spread that deformation around.
