Matt-There is a gate, ducker, compressor & parametric eq built into each channel strip so you don't have to insert those. You can insert outboard effects/processors also. I'm still learning this board, there's a lot to take in! :-)

Nice video!! thanks for sharing it !!. I got a couple of questions, Is it possible to add Rvb to a Delay send, or to add a compresor to a group for example the drum group?

I'm using the X32 Rack and I want to use the x32 as a stereo bus summing mixer to send my daw buses to individual stereo inputs on the X32, I sent the output of the buses inside the daw to 4 stereo inputs of the x32 that's working perfectly now how can I assign different efx per channel? if I added Compressor, EQ, filter, limiter on lets say Channel input 1-2 which is a drum mix , could I use those same efx but on a different stereo input andt edit each module separately with it's own settings?

On every channel you have 'channel strip' which gives you gain, phantom, phase, low cut, gate/expander, compressor and 4-band full parametric EQ.

Hi Guys, great demo's Question - can you control say a vocal delay effect via a MIDI control change from one of my guitar processors - i.e. Roland GR55? In other words mute/unmute the X32 insert or side chain effect via my footswitch. Thx in advance - WB

Kenny Zarider No but the X32 Rack and all the others have the same core. so you use the iPad app for the core the same way you would for the full size X32. or if you prefer you can use a wifi capable laptop with x32 edit.

is it possible to have individual channels routed to both a subgroup and the main mix? Considering the possibility of running all the drum channels to a heavily compressed subgroup, controlling that subgroup along with the original uncompressed drum channels on a DCA so I can parallel compress my whole drum mix.

how many effects can you run on any individual channel...the reason I ask is cause you have 8 slots for effects but only 4 (stereo) returns. If I want to run 5 effects on a channel how would I do that???

I have x32compact works ok in reason 7 as daw controller but native instruments maschine studio it shuts down my computer any help here please

Only 8 possible inserts ? Is there no way to insert out-board processing then ? I typically need alot of inserts (gates on drums, compressors on vocals, EQs on various things - especially stacked on the kick with a gate, etc...). For a typical 4-piece rock band I'll use 3-5 gates, 5 compressors, 3-4 EQs ... and that's just on channels, not counting EQs on monitors, etc. How would I cover all that using this technology ?

how do U send effects to monitors ?

When using the FX Buses, just click the Bus 1-6 button to select the monitor mix you want to pump FX signal into and then bring up the FX Return fader for that effect. If you decide to insert your FX then that signal would ultimately make it to the monitor output regardless, unless you have your AUX Output tap point set to ANALOG or INPUT.
