Great video sir!! I have one question, I want to record all of my 32 XLR inputs and my 6 Aux inputs in Logic. I purchased the DN9630 by Klerk Teknik. Do you know if I would be able to achieve this with the 4.0 update?

Still trying to get my head around this. Could you do a video on the USER custom patching to show sending busses out to Waves and back? Can this be done and still record individual channels or busses? I work on more complex boards than this, but the V4 workaround for 1-1 patching hurts my head...lol

Hi, great video! However, I have a routing question regarding the User In & User Out Update with the following question: I have a X32 and two digital stageboxes: SD8 and SD16. I want to daisy-chain both stage boxes like this: X32 AES50 A->SD16 A->SD16 AES50 B->SD 8 AES50 A. I need to use Input 1-14 from SD16 and Inputs 1-5 as well as Output 1-3 from the SD8. What would be the right routing using the User In / User Out Routing page?

Hi Ralf (from Germany?) Inputs 1-8 from SD16 would be easily routed by using AES 50 A inputs 1-8 as a regular block. (Without using USER SETTINGS) Next you create a USER IN SECTION 9-16 using input 13+14 from the SD16 as Input 9 and 10. Then select Input 1-5 from your SD8 as USER Input 11-15, if you want them to be on the same channels on your x32. Next the outputs: You just mention, that you need to use these outputs but I would need the information, which source you want to route to these outputs to help you with the second part of your question.

I have a DL32 on AES A, a DL16 on AES B and am also using the local I/O. I am struggling with the output side of things as I need to route mix busses AND other direct outs out of all 3 locations. What do you suggest?

Can you do 1 to 1 routing for mixer or stagebox outputs? e.g. two mixers using individual outputs on the same stagebox. Do you have a video explaining this?

Hi! I will definitely make a video explaining this. But I'll try to explain something quickly here if your in a pinch now. You should NOT use both AES50 ports on the stage box if you are attempting to do this. Go from AES50 A on the stage rack to AES50 A on your primary console, then from AES50 B on your primary console to AES50 A on your secondary console making a sort of "daisy chain." Your primary console will have control over gain. On your secondary console map your outputs to go back down the AES50 A port, then on your primary desk enable the returns from the secondary desk to get sent down AES50 A to your stage rack's outputs. This will allow you to send outputs from both desks. You cannot do this splitting the I/O directly from the stage box using the two AES50 ports on the physical stage box.

Ours did too, except we mistakenly diagnosed it to a blown AES50A channel and switched to AES50B manually only to discover a coincidental routing error in our saved configuration that showed up when we restored after the update.

I am new to the x32/m32. What I want to do is to have all of my physical inputs 1- 16 to goto my main out 7 and 8. I am using the m32r to submix to my audio interface. I know I can use the card, but there are times that my m32r is rented out. I have all meters showing, i just get no sound coming from my output 7 and 8 when i hook up a powered speaker. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to learn but this has me stumped. Thanks Scott

Scott Brown how’d you get into business with renting your mixer? Are you just renting your mixer, how does that process go? I have an x32 console and trying to pay it off by putting it to use which is pretty hard when you don’t have a sound system for live sound.

You’re going to need the latest version of X32 Edit which is also 4.0. Search for the X32 Edit software under the X32 Compact downloads, it’s easier to find. :)
