My band as M32C and DL32. They want this to be their IEM rack and control Preamps of the DL32. Then, they want to use AES50 to send those inputs to a venue FOH X32 mixer. I am trying to wrap my head around this. Here's what I have: DL32 configured as master clock (48k). DL32 AES A connected to M32C AES50 A. M32C set Sync to AES50A, and routed with AES50A as input sources 1-32. M32C set to Lock the stagebox. M32C set to control AES50A preamps. M32C is also routing outputs to AES50A for buses 1-10 for IEMs. Then, DL32 AES50 B connected to FOH x32 AES50 A port. X32 FOH set Sync to AES50A, and routed with AES50A as input sources 1-32. This should give FOH all our DL32 inputs with Gain Trim only. Thus, they can mix FOH as they see fit for the venue. There is no need to send audio from M32C to X32 or vice versa. They simply want to share the DL32 as if it was a physical splitter snake. Will this work? Is there something wrong with this solution???

Im using an M32c with a DL32 for IEMS rack with 2 psm 300s. Right now its been a pain because we have to run so many xlr cords to the FOH box. which is also a DL32. And then we have to set the outputs to direct output in relation to the input channel and set to pre eq. There has to be a way to do this cleaner and not have so many cords

Hi, we are using two X32 connected from AES50-B to AES50-A, one FOH and one Broadcast. Is there a way for the Broadcast X32 inputs to follow the mute commands and scribble strips info from the FOH X32? Thanks

Does this have any latency? I know under the setup options on the x32 their is a synchronize option to the first board but I notice that created latency on the second board. Will this 0 latency? I want to use the second board for iems.

Hey, I am wondering if I could route the inputs from AES50 A to AES50B outputs to a usb converter to a DAW. We are using Superrack as our main card out and do not have the usb option for the x32. Thank you!

I realize this video is old but I’m still going to ask a questions in the hopes it is answered. I have an S32 going to an X32 at FOH and an X32 rack I want to use as a broadcast console. I plan to use the iPad M32 mix app with the X32 rack and it will be plugged directly into a Mac mini running wirecast. My question is what two channels would I route to the card out in order to get wirecast to recognize and receive sound? You mentioned you have some device that gets plugged into FOH and that’s where I’m confused. If I don’t have that equipment, or want to go the route you went is there another option? Thanks to anyone who would be willing to respond to help me out.

We do not have an S32 Stage Box. Is it possible to route from FOH to the broadcast X32 without the S32? Thank you for a most informative video.

Does this share gain control or if you change something at foh, does it change the gain on the stage box say you were using the stage box to connect to a monitor console. If you make any changes at foh, does it affect the monitor console settings?

Is it possible to achieve this same result when plugging the second console into the AES50B on the S32 snake instead of the AES50B on the FOH console?

Yes, it is. This is how we do it. Just make sure that on your second console that you set the routing to be the AES50 inputs for either the A or B port (whichever you're using), and that you set the clock source under Setup>Config to whatever source you're using. It won't work if the clock source is set to the wrong thing, and that sort of information doesn't appear to save in scene files. I know your comment is a year old, but perhaps this will help someone else!

great video but I am looking to do something very simple. I want to use the m32 inputs local 1-16 and local outputs 1-8. On the DL16 I want to use inputs 17-32 controlled on M32 and outputs of 9-16 controlled by M32. I am a bit confused by the routing on the M32 and what to config the DL16 too? Help!!!

Basicly you'll just have to config your routing on the M32 on the AES50 tab set all to local

Hi there! I much prefer the feel of a real X32 console for mixing than using an iPad or some sort of remote app, do you know of any way to wirelessly connect an X32 to an S16 or S32 stage box without having to run a cable? So many of the places we play there's no way around just having one AES50 running to the stage partly through the audience, and them getting stepped on night after night is tearing them up, do you know of any wireless solution other than putting the X32 on the stage and mixing with a iPad over Wifi or something? Basically I'd like to Wifi from the X32 to the Stage Box or something. Thanks

I know a guy who is a presonus dude, and he had a desktop PC setup with a monitor and a rack and he leaves his mixer on the stage, and uses his PC to wirelessly mix at FOH. Basically I want that while using that actual console at the FOH. I also have an X32 Rack, it’s too bad can’t use that on stage and the real x32 at FOH like a big remote control over wifi. The digital snake is great and all, but so many times not having to deal with one at all to avoid having to protect it from getting walked all over by 1000s of people, or driven over by golf carts and skid loaders and stuff, it’d just be extremely handy and cut setup time down significantly.

I use an X-touch control surface connected to an iPad with a USB adaptor. iPad running mixing station connected wirelessly to mixer. X-touch just connects to and controls mixing station and it syncs with the X-touch. Very cool wireless control with faders and scribble strips

The Presonus uses AVB and would not talk to AES devices. I don’t think it would work.

1 question I have been looking for an answer to before I pull the trigger on a 2nd board for our Broadcast/Live Stream mixer ..... will routing the board this way(through your main FOH board) cause issues if say someone adjusts Input Gain on a channel of the FOH board during a worship service? Or will each board operate independently from each other when it comes to Input Gain on channels?

One console will have control of the gains...”master”... the other will have 15db of digital trim.

only one can be master, I'd suggest the one that runs iem mixes, so that levels aren't changing in iems while performing... house then has trim only capabilities... however, whichever is the "master" also controls the analog outputs on the stage box... so I found this guys routing scheme that shares 8 outs from the iem console and 8 outs from FOH... kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4uulpKkj519kM0

Go to the ... menu and enable transcript. Insert a cue word and search for what you want. Click on the highlighted stamp associated with your keyword and it will cue to that section.

I Have been trying to figure out how to pass LRSF outputs from the FOH console thur the Monitor console (Master) and onto the DL32 output channel 13, 14, 15 and 16. I used output 1-12 for IEM mixes from the monitor board. BTW the monitor board is a M32C. This video gives me some hope. For the life of me I can not understand why Behringer designed their patching so awful. I can do this 2 console and stage box patch setup with ease on the Midas Pro series, Allen Heath SQ, Avantis, dLive, and almost all touring consoles... But I can not wrap my head around the M & X series rounting...
