@@haroldmcbroom7807 Your GPU might struggle so lowest settings will be the place to start. Everything else is good enough. UserBenchmark comparison of your GPU to the minimum listed GTX 780 shows your card to be 10% better by the visual average I made glancing at the benchmark scores.

@@KeithZim Thanks. Guess I'll hold off, as I don't want my GPU to struggle because it lowers the lifespan of the computer. Bad enough they (Microcenter) charged me $1,000 for what turned out to be a $700 mid-range system, somewhat better than the $700 system I was replacing (Powerspec)

You had me at throat singing. Finally the game is pretty close to complete, just Boron that's missing now. Love the station building. Love the sectors. Love the gameplay systems. Didnt like X4 at launch, but its brilliant now. True X3 feeling, but modern.

Loide das ihr nochmal die alten Schiffe angefasst habt finde ich das beste. Ich hatte immer das Gefühl das das noch besser geht und ihr wohl auch. Großes Dankeschön dafür! Ich hoffe die anderen Fraktionen bekommen auch noch ein "Make-Over". Ihr solltet auch unbedingt eurem Komponisten einen Bonus auszahlen die letzten Tracks die verfasst wurden diese jetzt UND vor allem die Tracks aus letzten DLC waren Weltklasse! Just started playing X4 a couple months ago, and I love it! I've already purchased all the DLC's and can't wait for ToA to be out. But, as a HOTAS user, I would really love to see some improvement in a couple places. Firstly, sometimes when boosting or entering cruise mode and then returning to regular speed, the game will assume the HOTAS throttle is in neutral position and doesn't bother to check until the throttle is moved. This can be really annoying sometimes in combat when you leave travel mode and assume you are still moving since you're at full-throttle, but then realize you've just been sitting in one spot for the past few seconds. Maybe just doing some regular checks for the throttle would fix that. Secondly, a cubic curve function (I think?) option for pitch, roll and yaw are desperately needed. Sensitivity should be very low initially and then ramp up to normal to allow for precise controls. As is, it's nearly impossible for any precision aiming with HOTAS and relying on aim-assist is the only way to hit enemies consistently.

When X4 was released years ago, I thought it is a good foundation, but need a lot of polish and additional content. With the 5.0 update and new dlc, I finally feel this game is getting to be the Epic game it was destined for from the start. Now we need one more dlc with expanded khaak content, and X4 will be in heaven :-) (and maybe borons too)

their magnum opus is still x3 terran conflict. The amount of stuff you can do in that game is still much higher than what you can do in x4 foundations. Sure foundations has some quality of life features and is prettier, but the gameplay itself feels ... lacking in comparison to it's 2008 counterpart (terran conflict)

@@Ashleycb97 didn't receive notification about it, as for why it's better, well you have more ships more stations and the xenon and the khaak aren't "useless" in this game. Also this might be just on me, but the ships in x3 look much better than in x4, also rebirth had some amazing looking ships, which you couldn't pilot, but they weren't carried over. X3 also has a built in mod editor so if someone doesn't like something about the game they can just change it. Damaging the hull of another ship meant it loses it's speed, in x4 a ship with 1% hull performs the exact same as a ship with 100% hull. Way more fleshed out missions, some examples being the ones where you needed to cull the numbers of the xenon (usually given in sectors next to xenon sectors), interactions were done via the "comms" menu. Ramming is also a valid strategy in this game, you don't like those random scouts harassing you? Just spin a little and try to get them to crash into you -> ez kills Capital ships don't become completely useless like in x4 (if player pilots a scout he can easily 1v1 another capital ship, rendering it completely useless), in x3 if you had a fighter with the best possible fighter weapons you MIIIIIIIIIIGHT be lucky enough to kill a capital ship, but in x4 it's pretty much a guarantee. Missiles weren't completely useless either. The variety in stuff you could buy was way more, also energy cells weren't being created "from nothing" like in x4. The pointless minigames of x4 where you have to "get close to this thing wait 3 seconds to decrypt, rinse and repeat also don't exist. Sure space suit is cool to have and do actual story missions in, but other than that it's just a chore. There's other stuff as well that's either done bad in x4 or done better in x3 (there's also stuff that x4 does well, like the modular complexes)

Just one request, please can we have a mission start that lets us re-live the X-perimental mission (maybe from another race this time?)... You could include a time jump to overcome the fact the X-universe has moved on since the X-Beyond days 😀. The sensation of accidentally jumping into and being STRANDED in an alien world 🌎 was AWESOME. Maybe Kyle Brennan's brother goes looking for him and time jumps to after he's long gone?
