Symptoms of Fault
Clutch pedal feels “snapped”, clutch pedal not working.
The Fault
The clutch pedals are prone to snapping.
Right hand drive Chevrolet Sparks built between July 1st 2009- October 17th 2012 suffer from this black ABS plastic part snapping on the clutch pedal. The material is simply not suitable for the application. Chevrolet introduced a thin metal bracket to reinforce this plastic but it is still failing on vehicles.
The Solution
Repair your snapped pedal / prevent damage by installing X8R's superior clutch pedal part
The X8R repair part is CNC machined from billet aluminium, which is far stronger than the plastic part installed by Chevrolet. A direct replacement for the original part to save the cost of replacing the whole pedal box mechanism, which would only fail again in time.
Please beware there are 3d printed repair parts available that are printed Grey to look like a metal part.

10mm deep socket & rachet
13mm deep socket, rachet & extension
Grips/pliers
Trim removal tools
Flathead screwdriver
Philip's head screwdriver
Paint pen
12mm spanner
10mm spanner
Electric drill with 8mm drillbit
Torque wrench

I repaired the clutch pedal on my Barina Spark just recently. The repair is stupidly long compared with what it could/should be. I didn't think of it until after I had done pretty much the exact process you've shown here but I have a suggestion that can change a couple hour repair into a 5 minute 1. The "central shaft" mentioned at 2:55 is a gnats whisker too long to allow the clutch pedal to be removed without removing the entire pedal box. That gnats whisker is about the same length as the arrow head style locking mechanism. Run a hacksaw or coping saw blade through the locking mechanism to remove it. After it has been shortened the pin/shaft should now be possible to move, while still under the dash, far enough for the clutch pedal to be removed. Unclip the clutch cable, repair the clutch pedal, reattach the clutch cable, slide the shortened pin back into place and screw a self tapping screw with a washer back into the place where the locking mechanism was before shortening it. I have actually seen a large cable tie used to hold the pin in place but personally I'd go with a self tapping screw and maybe a dab of loctite on it.
