Great guide! Whenever I use this counter (I prefer SLKR or CLS but sometimes they have to do something else), I like to use Palp's laughing special since it gives him 50% TM per Shocked enemy and 5% Health damage on everyone every few turns is pretty decent - then again I prefer to burst down Boushh as soon as I can since I want SK to start doing his thing ASAP, and Palpy laughing helps me get to that point a bit faster.

​@@Xaerethi actualy dud the same Palps R7 and SK, MJ and Mace R5. Vistas just R3 😅 bit it works great if i have first Turn. I prefer Mace over Plo or Kenobi bc he got a special where he can call one to assist. To give SK more stacks that he can reach faster 100. Or just to Apple shock agn to someone. I mean it did not matters if the Team rund but another reason why i use Mace is bc Plo lacks on taugt abd Mace can reduce max Health step by step in long fights. I'm glad to see soneone else who use Defense Mods and Protection prime on Palps. All my mates told me i'm stupid. I still use 2x potency but that all did not help if he is too squishy and just dies from one big hit. As you said. Palps got potency up in lead ability and MJ do tenacity down. And she got the first strike so what. At least in this Team it's the best mod Set ypu can use for Palps, imo...

I was really starting to get disappointed with my Starkiller’s performance since he almost never beats Rey for me any more but then I heard you mention he beats Jabba a few videos ago and I’ve won 2/2 with full banners since then, thank you!

Not sure my opinion matters since i lost to mount algo back in feb but you missed out most important aspect to avoid a loss.... your own DC eg do not use 200% AP cron, use high CA instead. Those thermals use your own DC stats against you

Hi XP, Why this does not apply in TW? We don't have SK omis, and we "could" have the embo one. However in the first part SK is not assisting.

Great video. I'm starting to use Starkiller to beat Jabba and have not been consistent. Your input is going to help. Thanks. One question I have: What about using the Offense triangle and Tenacity instead of HP set on SK?

You could, but I don't think the amount of tenacity you'd get from it would be worthwhile. Plus, the health does help add a bit to his star destroyer damage.

Is there a strategic reason to use Palp’s AoE lightning that removes shocks and can’t stun that team? Seems like I’m either missing something or that’s a mistake on both battles that disrupts your train. Thanks for the counter though, looks great!

It triggers stagger, and sometimes it stuns people for two turns. But yeah, it does then get rid of the shock, so use it rarely in this instance.

Sorry, but you made this seem like a much more reliable counter than it is. First time I took your advice and got a horrible result. I pretty much never even got a turn. My SK is r8, Palp, Mara, JTR, Old Ben all r7. Mara is around 330 speed. Their team: Jabba r6, Krrsanta r5 no omi, Boba r8, Boush and Lando r5. NO datacron. I used a +30% Potency per enemy with less than 4 debuffs Datacron, at lvl 9, with excellent stats. Their Jabba began with swarm attack on Palp. Then my JTR jumped Mara, used cleanse on Krrysantan. The Jabba kept gaining so much turn meter from here, and his team just kept jumping in front of mine for like the entire battle. Within first few turns (only my JTR had gone so far), Boba did his AoE ability block, and landed it on everyone BUT JTR..... Then they just kept taking turns, more turns, more turns, and when my Mara finally got her first turn, she was Ability blocked and almost dead. Same for Palp. Both got ONE ability off, a basic, before being killed, Starkiller got ONE ability off (also basic due to ability block) before being killed. Old Ben never went. JTR went like 3 times. My SK is r8 with full 6A mods and decent speed despite offense and health focus. My Mara is speed and potency focused. Actually, all my mods were about the same as yours. And he had NO datacron. Yet I got wiped out and there was nothing I could've done different. Nothing. I had no idea this was THAT risky. I've used SK to take down several other GLs many times. This was absurd. Barely even got one turn on each. Against a r6 Jabba..........

I've used this SK team to beat GLs in TW, without a Juhani omi or Mara omi. So it's not a skill issue. This was 100% rng. The opening determined the entire match, to a literal absolute. Wasn't even an opening to let me in. I'm upset. Quite upset. Likely lost my GaC against a much larger foe I feel I should've beaten due to this. :/

@JadusMoltriel sorry to hear you had a bad result. Tons of others have told me thanks because they succeeded. If you don't get shock on Jabba, it can go poorly, which is why I advised checking the tenacity. If you can't land shock first throw, then do the tenacity down AOE first. I win this very consistently, but none of these counters are 100%. Look to your stats and your strategy.

@JadusMoltriel if you never got an opening, it sounds like Mara wasn't fast enough. Sounds like a skill issue to me if your mods aren't where they should be. And even if it's not a skill issue, don't take your fail out on me. No counter is 100%.

Hey, I apologize if it seemed I was blaming you. That wasn't my intent. Perhaps I was just hot from the loss. I WAS under the impression this was going to be like the SK vs JML counter, though. My Mara was about 330 speed. R7. My mods were actually very, very similar to yours, although I used different lightside characters. I think I used JTR and Old Ben that time. My SK was relic 8, over 11k offense and 270 speed. Both Palp and Mara had high potency. The Jabba team was low relic, several of their mods were 5 dot rather than 6, whereas mine were almost all 6a. I did check the Tenacities, and they hadn't focused on Tenacity almost at ALL. Perhaps I got unlucky and didn't shock Jabba. But from what I remember, Jabba opened with a swarm on Palp, my JTR got bumped up the turn order list, and then Jabba and his team bumped up past Mara. It happened so quickly I don't really know what happened, but I do know their Boba Fett jumped my Mara and landed Ability Block on EVERYONE. The only turns I got to take with Mara, Palp, and Sk were basics. Didn't get a second turn after that. There was nothing I could do whatsoever. From the first move with Jabba's swarm, I had 0 control of the entire battle. I guess my only frustration towards you, was that I wasn't aware the RNG could make it so I was so powerless. Usually even with bad RNG, there's at least an opening somewhere in the battle for me to re-assert control. But hey, I definitely am not mad at you. It was MY loss. I've learned FAR more from you than this one bump in the road. Experience is how we learn best. I'm quite grateful to you for your channel, so please accept my apology for my tone being off. I'm sure I was just emotional from the loss. I was an underdog, but I knew I had a chance to win the GaC match, but that battle ended it. Lol. Until next time!

@@JadusMoltriel Wow, I'm not accustomed to people apologizing. Gratefully accepted, no hard feelings. This isn't a 100% counter, though I've been doing it against top top players with a really high success rate. My first advice would be to look to Mara's speed a little more. She usually controls the flow of things initially. Getting her to the 360 range may be challenging/impossible, but I'm guessing it will help a bit if you can manage it
