I like how this battle is one giant reference to Noh and Oichi's dream stages in SW2 Even Ranmaru remembers it and has PTSD about it as evidenced by his dialogue with Koshosho pre-battle.

When i played Warriors orochi (My first Warriors game) i though Ranmaru was a girl; i mean, his design and the fact that he SOUNDED like a girl really convinced me; until Nobunaga said my boy in one stage.

This is kind of a joke in the series. In samurai warriors 2 empire Magoichi mistakes him for a girl and calls him "the most beautiful girl in Japan". Ranmaru replies "Stop it! I´m a man!" and Magoichi says "A man? Are you sure about that?"
