I know this song is mostly about lost love, but the lyrics fit my fight with depression. I am constantly suffering in my mind. Every time I see someone happy I just get sadder because they are experiencing a magical emotion I rarely feel anymore. I just end up longing for a taste of that joy, but all I continue to feel is the urge to wail my sadness to the ceiling of my lonely apartment.

My Dad is my best friend and we lived together and shared a room, meals, everything together. I’m 31 and my hero my dad passed away on October 22nd 2022 and I lost the best person and kindest soul I’ll ever know. I played this song on repeat when I lost my Mom and brother, and then when I lost my Dad, I played it some more. It really speaks to my soul, even though it's a love song, the words still apply to me when I think of them and how much I miss them. I really love this song!
