I know this song is mostly about lost love, but the lyrics fit my fight with depression. I am constantly suffering in my mind. Every time I see someone happy I just get sadder because they are experiencing a magical emotion I rarely feel anymore. I just end up longing for a taste of that joy, but all I continue to feel is the urge to wail my sadness to the ceiling of my lonely apartment.

I played this song on repeat when I lost my Mom and brother, and then when I lost my Dad, I played it some more. It really speaks to my soul, even though it's a love song, the words still apply to me when I think of them and how much I miss them. I really love this song! And I had a dream about my Dad playing it on for me on guitar, which is funny because he never played guitar in real life. Felt like a little message from him and gave me such strength. Thanks for this gentleman, you have no idea how much your music means to me.

My Dad is my best friend and we lived together and shared a room, meals, everything together. I’m 31 and my hero my dad passed away on October 22nd 2022 and I lost the best person and kindest soul I’ll ever know.
