I root for him! I love what he did for the Lahina recovery efforts. As a golfer, Xander plays an aggressive style and sometimes pays for it. No matter the disappointments he has experienced, he always owns his efforts whether they succeed or fail. A tremendous player!

How did the Olympics come up here?! Ok, fine, I’ll say it: the Olympics golf competition is a Limited Field tournament - arguably more so than most. That being said, XS is one of my favorite players. And I appreciate his honesty.

I’m glad Schauffele is speaking up a little! If he was a Top 3 player, people would probably listen more sadly. If McIlroy spoke up, Monahan would be gone in a heartbeat.

They should wait until they have identified someone who will be better. A vacuum could set the whole Tour spinning and at that point the players would own the mess. But they definitely should be looking actively to find a successor.
