Hello Eric, I have heard conflicting information about Achachairu, on one side it is sweet but also tangy a top fruit and some people consider it at the same level as Mangosteen and better than Luc, but I have also heard that it is nothing special, not very sweet and that Luc is the big deal. I am also looking forward to seeing your purple Mangosteen growing!

I think Imbe is better tasting than Achachairu and Mangosteen, but lacks size, I would rate mangosteen and Achachairu about the same flavor level. G. Macrophylla is considered the best tasting Garcinia by many but I have not tried it yet.🐸Of course everyone has different tastes❤️🐸thank you

@@floridanaturalfarming3367 Thank you! Ok but is Achachairu sweet? Can you compare its sweetness to any other common fruit so that I can better ballpark it?:). I have been able to taste mangosteen and it is amazing, I am curious about the other Garcinias!

It is more sweet than sour, it definitely is nothing like a Lemondrop mangosteen, it is comparable to mangosteen sweetness🐸should be plenty to go around soon so you probably need to just try one yourself🐸I may be the wrong person to ask as I never felt the Mangosteen or Achachairu were that amazing, good yes but not like a top tier Florida Mango🐸❤️thank you

@@floridanaturalfarming3367 Hello Eric, unfortunately I can't try it as I am in Portugal on Madeira Island. I am in a zone 12a with the coldest month being around 69/70 f high and 58f low, in a normal year temperature will not fall below 53/52 f. I would like to plant some Garcinias and other tropical like in the tiny yard we have, but can't assess the fruits taste as they are not sold there.

@@pedroreisdealmeida6911 ahh, Madeira looks very beautiful, I love the reforestation efforts going on there🐸the amount of fruit Achachairu produces and according to reliable source, multiple crops per year would put it at the top of my list🐸Luc’s according to Luc says the trees only produce 50 fruit per year🐸if I had to choose I would plant Lucs, Macrophylla and Achachairu in the same hole as seeds🐸I would add Mangostana and Prainiana to round out the Garcinias I might plant seeds of Brazilian Cherapu, Lindero and Amazon Giant together in another hole🐸

Question, my jackfruit have different leaves. Some are rounded and others are like a clubbed leaf. They were seeds from the same batch. Could they be different species?

Like people all plants have variation even among brothers and sister, some more alike than others🐸hard to say unless without knowing the source of seeds🐸❤️thank you
