First time I played WoW was during TBC shortly before WOTLK came out. I totally loved exploring the world and I went to some length (and some deaths) to check out remote places and it was always rewarding. But even in these early stages of WoW I was disappointed that the wares of most of these vendors had become more or less useless except for vanity or roleplaying. Now Im playing classic and I finally can enjoy discovering them again.

Back in original classic I would sell the mechanical dragonling plans on the AH. It was my main secret gold income. I cannot remember how much I sold it for, but it would always sell. It helped me get my epic riding mount.

I still think a group mode or a guild found or something needs to happen. That or they need to add an NPC. WoW is just not designed for SSF. Unless you plan 5000000 steps ahead, you usually focus the professions you want, then realize you need stuff from other professions that can't be bought. And some of that stuff needs other professions sometimes. And if you drop your profession you lose all the neat recipes you managed to collect while out in the world. If they don't add a way to work with players they really need an NPC like the ones that reset talent points. Pay X gold, but instead you pick a profession back up with all of the recipes you had. Idc if the skill level goes back to 1, just lemme keep my recipes. They're like an extra lil collection log that you get to fill out and see what you get while you play and explore.

He missed the one in stormwind. Theres a vendor in the mage district that sells some gear and that "Callous Axe" which is the same stats as cruel barb pretty much . just a lvl 20 axe .

Self found hardcore is a thing on TWoW, if you do the exhaustion challenge, hardcore challenge, and the slow&steady challenge it's the real hardcore experience. I've got a Rogue to 33 so far on there and it's taken me over 5 DAYS of in-game time to get him that far with a couple close calls. I picked rogue because after rolling a warrior at first and realizing that all it took was a single misclick of a party member to ruin everything (I lost a character in the deadmines because a mage accidentally wanded a guy on the platform adjacent to the ship and pulled like a dozen mobs killing everyone but the rogue who vanished) rogue seemed like the only good option for grouping.

solo selfe found made my experince so much worst goodness. interacting with AH and trading and asking crafters in city is so great part of the game. killed my char and went again with so much more fun.

I miss hardcore before official servers. The community back then was smaller, but it was way more welcoming and informative, and we understood WHY the game mode creators ran SSF and no dungeon spam. Then comes official servers, and its complete dogshit in comparison, the community of course is full of gold buyers, people buying BoEs off the AH to skip progression, people grinding dungeons. None of what made SSF HC fun is present, it's just regular classic era except death = delete.

The problem with classic is that there is nothing new...I have leveled so many characters to 60 in HC classic that it is literally the most boring thing in the world to me. There is only so many ways you can dress a potato before you have to come to the realization that it is just a potato...I have loved classic over the years as much as the next person but at this point it has just run its course for me unfortunately..
