I loved the comment about just exploring the world. My favorite memory is when BC came out, my best friend and I ran through every zone just to see what was out there. It was so much fun.

When he referenced the Elden Ring I felt that. My friends instantly looked up guides and OP builds blasted through the game exploring 50% and stopped playing saying the game was ok. Its like did you really even play the game? The journey and unkown is what keeps it spicy.

the way i play games like botw or elden ring is i will beat the game myself while exploring as much as i like. When im done i start seeing what others are doing and watch reviews and stuff

I played through the game normally and ended up beating the game in like 2 weeks. And then I got called a speedrunner by my friend because I didn't explore 100% of the map. To this day he still hasn't finished the game and hasn't touched it for the last 4 months. I think exploring 50% of the game is completely fine as long as you make your own journey, and try to have fun doing so. Either way, neither of us looked up guides so regardless of our thoughts of eachothers' playstyles, we both had fun playing the game in our own way. Both streaming the game to eachother while playing.

Only issue with having all the "noobs" in the game and getting that mmo feel where not everything is figured out is the time you need to invest. It takes 10x longer with a party of noobs.

The only twinking I ever did was getting to the 29 cap and queuing for bg, quest turn in for level up, grab whirlwind axe and had one glorious wsg ctf game crushing everyone.

17:20 I feel exactly the same. recently the game feels more and more tryhard people just spamming raid/dj doing 30min clears full tryhard checking gearscore, logs taking only the most meta classes... or even people starting to do hard res in dj and shit makes the game so damn boring. in sod i really felt like the only fun part was the leveling and like discovering the raid. after that the experience is just gruesome. people with way too much gold (wonder how they got it huh) doing gdkp and making the economy completly fucked. battleground filled with only tryhard premade. the pvp event being a pve event ??? and everything is making me feel more and more like i'm playing retail and not fk classic
