Xasthur music is dangerous. Its the true expression of loneliness and depression. My life was never the same after I watched the one man metal documentary and got deep into Malefic's music. This is real.

This track is mesmerizing. I don't understand what it is that I hear that so many others don't. It's interesting how differently everybody listens to music. However, our capability to change how we listen is one of the most important gifts of the human mind. So sad that so many never take the time to develop it, and understand it.

Gotta say I'm pretty unfamiliar with Xasthur, but I like what I'm hearing. I just watched a documentary that Vice put out about One Man Metal bands and it was very fascinating. Say what you will about that, I don't care. They interview the dudes from Xasthur, Leviathan and Striborg, Very interesting to see the people who make this music. This music is true to the isolation and depression their makers live. Powerful..

Xasthur is the new Burzum, imagine Varg and Malefic teaming up
@allencarey73362 жыл бұрын
Varg doesn't even compare to the man Scott Cooper(Malefic) if you watch him interviewed and watch Varg interviewed...Varg is a very ego driven soul...Scott is a very depressive driven soul...that's why Xasthur is it's own and in no way compares to any other...one possible comparison would be Leviathan but that's because they are so closely depressed.

Don't get me wrong. I completely agree with u, Scot does have an amazing voice. However that type of atmospher was all created just by multiple recordings of himself screaming the same lyrics but with different tones and just played them both at the same time. While he did do a good job doing those vocal tones the type of atmosphere u were talking about had more to do with how he was using his technology, which he did it very wisely.

@95Bcool Rap, I can't say much about it, I hear a lot about how horrible it is, so I've never really bothered to take a listen. Pop, I'd be lying if I said it was complete BS, I like some of it, not a lot though. As for core bands, some of them write lyrics about the same subjects, and vocal-wise, a lot of them sound like the same person. But vocals and lyrics aside, their guitars, bass, and drums can be fairly amazing.
