The best review I've seen on this pedal. You've done this pedal the most justice, thank you Kyle for this one. Agreed it is expensive, but it's still cheaper than Fortin's actual amps.

You ain't kidding dude and its an enigma why they cost so much. I had a chance to play around with a buddies Meshuggah Blackout and I mean no disrespect, but my 50W 6L6 Stealth literally destroys that 300% more expensive and extremely overrated amplifier.

Here’s the bombtrack settings with a late 70’s JMP . Running the amplifier with everything around noon, lowest break-up you can get away with that’s still clean,so you can still use your normal EQ zone and baseline sound when return. Bass. MAXED Middle 8.5 to 9 Treble. 8.45 to 9 Gain. 1:45 to 2 Grind.11:30 yo 12 Girth Brooks 11 Mid Shift to the left No Kill or be killed switch engaged. HERDS of punch in the grunts💯. Seating lead guitar tones. The feel of the pedal blends with the feel of your amplifier near seamlessly, with slight EQ adjustments. You’re bonded. Is it worth the coin?? Well, considering everything has re-Inflated while pedals have creep’ed up to the high $300’s to $400 ranges, (Albeit a lot more options then the Natas). The low 300 dollar range just started breakin’, so we’ll see what pedal maker’s put out in that steep new range. This pedal kicks all kinds of ass man. The secret handshake is dialing in the bass frequencies matching up with the bass knob in your amplifier 1st, -dime the bass on the Natas and dial the two adjuster’s in, dial in more of your amp’s EQ & keep the other adjusters ( Middle/Treble) on the low side and then bring it on in🎯 Followed by all hell’s about to break loose when you start playing your guitar💯

i think if they came out with OLA's signature amp pedal that would be awesomer. Also your tones are omazing because you mic your cab. Your mic'd cab tone is of course incredible every time you do it. i believe people should be ok using IR's just not for demoing the likes of a pedal or amp a speaker or guitar or pickups just etc. etc.. How are you supposed to know what you are working with then? Yes always mic a cab. You are absolutely awesome.

Dude I own the Grind, 33, Zuul, Zuul+, Splif, and Hexdrive and the only ones I use are my Zuul+ and Splif (splitter) on my board. I bought into the Fortin hype (literally) but it just doesn't do it for me. However, I'm feeling this pedal/preamp dude. I'm tired of sending Fortin Amps money for "okay" pedals but I may have to get this one. The idea of just loading up my KSR PA50, Mesa 2x12, and this preamp pedal and heading to a practice jam session would be less risky than toting my QC around. Sure would be a lot cheaper if someone stole it lol. Awesome video Kyle and thanks for posting 🤘

Kyle, I play a seven string mostly. I love your videos but that is one thing I was stoked to see in this one. That's a lot of money for a dirt pedal! I think Fortin has some cool pedals and I like the full EQ on this pedal. That KDH video left me really apprehensive about dealing with them though. It'd probably be fine with something simple like a pedal, but I worry about what happens if I get the pedal and it does something weird like squeals uncontrollably with my PSU. I feel like if I tried to send it back they would just be like, "tough shit, it's your fault, you need a different PSU." but I'm speculating, I've never dealt with Fortin.

Are guitar pedal reviews getting a little cliche' these days? It seems that every pedal review I watch anymore has the same MO. Not a sponsored video, I'm up front checking it out. never used it, just got it....etc. But at least we can try to hear something from them. I may be mistaken But, I don't think that most people can afford a fraction of the amps and cabs used on some of these videos shown. Just an observation. All the expensive pedal and Amp used in this video would sound great at some instances and does. Good video.

Sounded great in the FX loop of the 5150. Sounded great into the Blackstar thing on the EL34-setting. The tightness and the clarity was really impressive! But high gain distortion pedals almost always sound like ass into a high gain amp, in my own personal opinion, especially on the gain channel, but also on the supposed clean channel, if it's not Fender'y clean tones (how clean is that clean channel on the 5150 really? I don't know, 'cause noone ever demoes it...!). The tone into the interface with an impulse response was hot garbage, I'm sorry to say. That last setup definitely didn't do the pedal any favors. Overall, cool pedal in the right setup, but as with any Fortin pedal, it's massively overpriced!
