I'm dying laughing. From the completely abandoned bend at 6:16, to the mouthed "F*CK" at 6:28 and, last but not least, the completely unedited tuning fiasco from 16:04 to 16:40 that seemed to last for an eternity. I love it! Keep being you and leaving this stuff in. It's a breath of fresh air from all the "Perfection" gear videos.

Jim root is severely underrated for gear production. The KV77 and his Orange Sig are actually some of the best metal gear on the market.

Awesome amp, if properly adjusted. More or less a Mini-Rockerverb for less money. Alo the tube driven fx-loop is nice. Plus, Triode mode also sounds good, not too dull as usual, but more some sort of different, more Vintage Orange voicing. Well done!

I've always felt orange amps sound great boosted. Never been a big fan of them unboosted. I will say with the plumes engaged I was REALLY liking that tone. And the 7 string tone was GNNNNARRRLLLYY.

I’ve had mine for around 3 months now (I think I bought it before this video came out?). At first I dismissed it as even at 7watts it’s far too loud to crank at home, and it’s NEEDS to be cranked or it sounds shite (like most Tube amps at low volume). I ended up using it as a portable head for my Boss GT-1000 (using the loop return), however at a band rehearsal I went straight into it and holy shit it sounds amazing! With EMGs it sounds crazy good, and with a Telecaster with Richie Kotzen’s pickups, the blues tones are awesome! So over the time I’ve owned it I’ve gone from wanting to sell it to completely loving it!

I have a Orange JR Terror and it’s awesome!!! No complaints with it. High gain tones are achieved easier than clean tones. Dirty is it’s preference 🤘🏽😈🤘🏽

It's a neat amp because it can chug but also has a pretty nice saggy/loose sound as well to thicken it up. It reacted really nicely to the pedals. Also I like how Oranges are so simple to dial in. Some of the German amps are kind of tideous with the amount of knobs and switches going on. Orange has really stepped up their metal game with the Jim Root series.

Variety of guitars & pickups to test this amazing amp. \would like a little more chit chat about the pickups correspnding best for the amp. This amp needs a boost/OD to tighten up; thats were I'm stuck on choosing a good pedal for this amp. Please delve a little deeper with another vi on this amp.

I think this amp is discontinued to be honest. I’ve had mine for years it’s a great amp, good news is that it is pretty similar to the OR15 which I think is still made or a Rockerverb lead channel

Would love to see some variation on the cabs you're using when trying out these heads man..once you've dialed in a good setting then switch to a Marshall 4x12 or different 2x12 cabs to see how much you have to alter the settings etc. I'm curious to see because I'm looking at getting a good 2x12 cab and either a 50w or lunchbox head but there's so many options now I'm racking my brain trying to find the perfect combination.

You should check out the bogner ecstacy blue pedal if you get the chance the original one with the boost. It's killer into a driven amp to tighten stuff up

I have this same amp. I usually have to keep the treble maxed out at 10:00 to get some good high treble. If it's at 5:00 it's just too dark for me. I was wondering if there was something wrong with my EQ? But maybe that's just the nature of this amp?

I’ve had the #4 JR for some time, it’s a good amp & there’s a ton of gain available on it. Too much. I have swapped the factory fitted tubes in the pre amp and power amp section and the gain is more palatable. For those who love the Orange crunch sound, look for a used Rocker 30 (NOT the Rocker 32) and you shall be well rewarded tone-wise.

I believe the mt15 has 6v6’s. That amp is VERY loud and is normally tested around 20-25 watts

So what I've been doing is actually running an MXR 6 band EQ through the effects loop and just raising the lower frequencies on the pedal. It really helps beef it up!
