Interstellar Bum Pirates on the Astral Thought Plains of the Universal Overmind was easily the best game of 2031. It is sad that all the other mainstream titles are cheap piles of shit, Chinese knockoffs, remakes or tasteless shooters about the Great North Korean war of 2019.

1:52 Reminds me of "taking the long way" in VVVVV, in which a single 1ft^2 bump is blocking your path, and the only way past is to flip your gravity, fall through three screens worth of spiked pits until you find a touchable spot, then flip it again and go through a different spiked falltube and land on the other side of the bump.

Yahtzee's general sarcasm and cynicism is painfully evident in almost every aspect and most people catch on to it and like him for it. But for some reason, whenever he says something that they disagree with, all that logic goes out the window and their anus clinches harder than an 8 year old boy at mass. I'll never understand these things.

Playing the original decades ago, I did wonder why A both extended as well as retracted the claw, when I realized it was one of the game's few mercies. For instance, if you accidentally double tapped A in Area 6 while in the middle of a swing with the original controls, you weren't going to throw yourself out to sea and instant death like you would with attach-detach controls. Sure, you'd be hanging from a light pole, but you could always climb up, slide off, and try again when you were ready.

Thank you! I have been having the same issue will all these nostalgia freaks. Ok I don't mind playing old school games but some of the changes were for good reason. Hell take Oblivion for example. The interface was a mess and they barely did anything to explain the way classes work. Skyrim, love the interface and love how your character evolves by his skills your using. Sometime change is good, not all the time but that doesn't mean we should stay in the dark ages of gaming.

The reason I liked Ocarina of Time better was because it didn't feel as linear and had a lot more secrets, but in Twilight Princess I found myself catching the same bug turning it in for the same amount of rupees then going to get another item, in Ocarina of Time there were parts were it forced you to go out and explore for a bit. This made it feel more sand boxy which was a big relief after going through 3 dungeons without stopping. Minigames. Twilight Princess doesn't do them well.

@7CellarDoors WRONG! The Zelda games on the GameCube (WW and TP) are probably the most underrated games of all time. They both get rid of many of the design flaws of the N64 games, such as removing that annoying magic meter, so you no longer need to search for magic. There are less “Guide dang it” moments, less linear gameplay, (WW gave us an entire ocean to explore.) more fun items (Bombs + Arrows = Bomb Arrows = MEDIEVAL GRENADE-LAUNCHER = AWESOME!) and better combat systems.

@7CellarDoors WW tried something new by putting the entire games world in an ocean that you could fully explore on your own. This gameplay mechanic alone makes this one of my favorite games. It was the first true open world 3D Zelda. It was also the game that introduced me to the series.

That is why if you read old reviews of the game you can see people call this game “OoT but better”

Shure, Ocarina of Time had more sandbox elements, but the sandbox elements in Ocarina of Time was kind of shit. TP decided to be more linear and let you teleport from the beginning of the game, but OoT pretended to be open-ended by having you walk long distances in the beginning of the game, just to get anywhere, until you could teleport there, and the world in OoT was even more naked than the world in TP. Ocarina of time didn't do minigames well ether. I wish there weren’t a 500 character limit

@7CellarDoors "removing that annoying magic meter" "There are less “Guide dang it” moments" "less linear gameplay" "more fun items" and "better combat systems" are all worthwhile opinions. Saying that OoT is better than TP is like saying that Donkey Kong (the arcade game) is better than Super Mario Bros. You jump over stuff in both games but in SMB you can also jump ON stuff. That’s is way more fun. It is just overall a more fun game. OoT is a classic game, but TP improves it alot.

@7CellarDoors SS is weary different to the rest of the games in the series due to its motion controls but the game is still an incredible game and takes the top spot on my top list of Zelda games. Just like WW it tried something new and it works. The entire series is built on good and sometimes wired ideas but having motion controls that actually WORKS! is an amazing and crazy idea. Plus, the whole flying aspect of the game reminded me of WW.

The night of the long knives was a night where Hitler's SS went around eliminating about 90% of the SA as they head of the SA Rohm wanted Hitler to act on his social policies and threatened him if he didn't with the SA. I played the Zeldas and Marios in chronological order and I see where Yahtzee's coming from somewhat, in retrospect. IMO for Mario: Galaxy 1/2 > Sunshine > 64 but for Zelda: Wind Waker > Skyward Sword > Majora's Mask > Twilight Princess > Ocarina of Time. So I'd say it's more like there's no correlation rather than that older games are worse.

@7CellarDoors Then tell me, why is OoT so great? It was the most groundbreaking game ever back when it first came out. It took all the elements of the 2D LoZ games and managed to translate them to 3D almost flawlessly. It was the first time anyone has ever done a game like this and it blew everybody’s minds back in 1998 with great graphics and gameplay. But let’s pretend that we live in the futuristic space year of 2011:
