Look at 3:50 - the message says "Eligible for an appeal" - but the video does not even hint that they attempted to appeal this ban, they just went and bought a new console. If they truly didn't have any reason for a ban, why not appeal and document that process? I suspect the fact that the video's poster went out of their way to join the games of cheaters led to their ban, despite the fact that they were reporting these people. Just report them and block them.

Couple of things… 1, setting your Xbox console to dev mode. Doing this allows you to make changes to the certain settings such as the console info settings. (Serial number, model number, etc. and 2, at least you were able to get the series x. I had mine stolen from the shipping yard at UPS. Personal note: never trust UPS ever again.

I’ll do more research and get back to you on that. Also please note I DO NOT RECOMMEND setting your console to dev mode only because if not done properly you will render it completely useless and unplayable. So there is a risk but I am the kind of person who believes in high risk high reward.

@@micel7437yes, it is. The terms and service are are contract between the user and Microsoft. Microsoft has to provide a reason on why they revoked this contract and possibly even evidence. Though I don't know if there have been similar cases with Microsoft about this here in Germany, I do know a couple of people filed lawsuits against KZbin for wrongfully terminating channels and got their channels reverted. And I also don't think there have been any court decisions about this sort of console blocking Microsoft and Sony do.

you are thinking of it all wrong. normally if you buy a console you own said console, but if you read the EULA's and ToS you agree that by owning the xbox you merely paid for the privilege to access the contents it provides such as online gaming or just gaming in general. if you violate that agreement they take the services offered away. you still own the console however, its not like MS is going to raid your house and take it away from you. you can still power it on and shit, but you lost access to the stuff you agreed you would honor the ToS for. this is becoming a big trend in online games now adays as they force even singleplayer games to have an online connection. its wrong and there are people fighting this but as of right now this is the standard. as long as the EULA and ToS' remain unchanged this is how it is and yes it applies even to your computer. you own the materials that make up the computer but you dont own the services they provide. so access to the internet, powerpoint, word document, onenote, onedrive, and all that other stuff really can be restricted from you and there is no legal route for you to take because the agreement you accepted when you bought the computer states that you will follow the ToS and will not do X, Y, or Z. again sucks but this is the standard and it really REALLY needs to be challenged and changed to prevent this level of overreach from becoming a bigger problem.

At first was a year console ban then after I kept emailing them they changed it to three months. They still left my account ban though. This proves my account was assassinated. you might want to read the EULA's my guy, they do specify that the terms can and will change and that by agreeing to this one you will agree to all future ones, you lose before you even start. and in the end it doesnt matter because technically xbox isnt doing anything illegal here. for starters using these newer consoles is a service sadly, and a company like MS can use these EULA to terminate your access to said service. you still own the materials that are put together to MAKE the console, but you have been revoked the access of using what the Xbox has to over as a service. this is 100% legal and the EULA does state that they withhold the right to terminate your service at any time for any reason meaning that unless you challenge it with a lawsuit theres nothing you can really do. this needs to be changed and rectified but its unlikely to happen in the U.S because bill gates has congress by their balls and will take their money away if they try to take a stand against his monopoly. the UK is taking actions little by little but if enough damage is done then it could have an effect here in the U.S as well. we will have to see but for now this is 10)% legal even if it really shouldnt be.

I can’t confirm exactly what happened and that Microsoft didn’t console ban you but what I can tell you is that some hackers can console ban you, I’m not saying that’s absolutely the case here but it may be possible. That’s something hackers loved to do back in the early Xbox 360 days is just banning people and bricking consoles. Also worth noting this is why I and many others almost always buy a disc version of a game because they can just snap their fingers and take away every digital purchase you’ve ever made
