This could be a coincidence, but a kid messaged me saying "enjoy the ban" and maybe 2 days later I was communication banned and then multiplayer banned shortly after. Is there a way that I don't know to get people banned? Like did he report me and then in the "comment section" write something like "this guy said he was going to rape me" or something crazy to get me banned? I've been banned before, both communication and multiplayer, but I've never been messaged by someone saying "enjoy the ban" and then got banned a day or two later, seems like way too big of a coincidence.

I Own a respectable collection of Xbox consoles and games from over the years, Recently I was given a 2 week suspension from live! I had called Xbox customer support and the representive I was talking to said he already knew this happens all the time and that it's a joke anybody can report you for anything and this shit happens. I'm now selling the whole collection on craigslist. Fuck you Microsoft I will never buy another product from you again. I'd literally just upload memes and talk with friends so I was surprised to see that I got permanently suspended. What surprised me even more is that the enforcement team upheld my suspension after I made a case. And I happen to remember the Original Xbox Live Promo in which the guy "DarkMaster" trash talked another player, and nearly 20 years later the logic is completely wiped. I was banned in august, the only game I played was GTA online, I had 7k hours over 5 years of playtime and roundabout 100 million of (legitimate) money. I was banned for "cheating" let me tell you how I played this game: when I was not playing with some of my streamer buddies or whatever, I was in a solo public session making money or helping others make money. so when I saw that "notice of enforcement action" when I tried to sign in one morning when I got up, I was hella confused. and even more so when I went through the process to try and get the account back and basically got told "tell us what you did and how we're wrong" the thing is that I did nothing, I did everything in my power to be a nice guy to the community, I helped the level 10s that no one else would, I delt with the annoying squeakers and tried to teach them. just to have that taken away from me one late august morning for no reason at all. I might buy an xbox series x if there's a chance I could transfer my character to another xbox account through social club, but if not I'm just gonna say fuck it and never touch GTA again. that was one of the few games I actually liked, the ability to meet new people while having something for everybody, and 7k hours of progress at level 480ish just isn't something you attempt to make back, that shit takes YEARS.

When you said you told him about his IP and where he lived, I see why he reported you for threatening behaviour, but a communication ban for a couple days would’ve been fine (a communication ban is when you’re banned from clubs, activity feed, voice chat and messages). Whether or not the R3L3 was being a dick online and deserved his ban, that's hardly an infringement worth wiping out one's entire game catalog. Yes, he'd still have access to them offline if he hadn't tried to be a dumbass and game the system with GameSharing. But that excuse only works so long as the console he's using doesn't break - which they all do, and if you can't sign-in and access the marketplace - there's no way to re-download copies of games you lost or may have deleted to manage storage space. This is the risk you take when you fall for the digital games meme - your access to your library is contingent upon a licensing agreement that can be revoked at any time - for any reason. You own nothing. And for what? To avoid the inconvenience of having to get up off your fat asses and change a disk once in a great while. Digital only works on the PC, because piracy acts as a form of consumer protection. You have no protection on consoles.

So maybe this is why I prefer disk over digital. Sure I'll still lose all of my progress and data but at least I don't have to buy the game again no matter how many times I get suspended. As long as the disk doesn't get damaged and I don't mind getting up from my couch to put in the disk everytime I play a new game, I'll be fine. Plus it looks cool to have that disk box on your shelf to show off to people.

I woke up today and turned on my Xbox. I was going to play with my friend on rocket league. But I sign in and I get a message the same as this saying I have been permanently banned. The reason is because the day day before me and my friend got smashed by these 2 dudes on rocket league and then we joined their party and they bullshited us soo much so we told them we were gonna report them. They then reported me and my friend and somehow it’s got me permanently banned from my acouny which I had for 5 and a half years and had spent over £700 on. But like you, it is all gone and I can’t get any of it back. It is absolute bs and I can’t believe Microsoft thought that this was an acceptable punishment. Nobody at all no matter what they did should deserve to be robbed of lots of money and all progress they ever made in all their games. I just hope people stop doing this.

I've been permanently banned a few months back. I had an Xbox one since day one. I bought most of my games online for years. They AT LEAST need to make away to transfer all the games and account balance.

Problems I have with Xbox. •keep locking me out of my account. •digital games that are single player that need online. •Xboxlive makes no sense for billion of dollars. •10$ to change your gamer tag. • ban system is like school that stricts over bad words.

Yup and as someone who owns a ps4 and an xboxone, xbox is slow, and buggy in comparison. So many issues. Enforcement team has unregulated authority and are a bunch of wannabe cops and powertrippers

@@Sopeclan never got my account back. i switched to pc gaming. I do play on the xbox occasionally mostly just to play warzone when im on the road for work, but, my ps4 runs the game much smoother. I leave the ps4 at home for my woman and kid to play tho
