RESOLVE: i had this issue. Xbox worked on older TV but i bought a new 4K UHD TV and only got NO SIGNAL. Tried all troubleshooting to no avail. Turned out my HDMI port was broken. Some of the pins were pushed in. It worked on older TV because it didn't need to utilize HDMI port to full capacity in order to display on that TV which ran on lower resolution. Found a local repair shop here in Melbourne - GameFreaks in Thomastown. He replaced it in about an hour and it now works brilliantly. He charged me $120 AUD. He said this problem (broken HDMI port) is very common on XBOX 1 S. Be sure to check the pins in your HDMI cable as well as the port. I was able to physically see the damage. Hope this helps.

The hdmi connects the xbox to the tv, so there already is another cable in the xbox that actually turns the xbox on. It dosnt need to be connected to the tv to work.

Spent 3-4 hours troubleshooting and all it was was the cable needed to be switched re: in/out hdmi on the xbox. Many thanks cuz I bought a new tv primarily for gaming and for when the next gen xbox comes out. You solved my problem in less than three minutes.

Well when the xbox is turned off and you put your fingers on the power button and the reset button it will beep. That's one. Continue to hold until you hear the second beep. Several seconds. Then plug your hdmi back in and look at the screen and you will be in troubleshoot. What he doesn't tell you is when you click on continue the xbox does a complete new refresh. Like you just bought it. I just hope the hdd doesn't get deleted.

Yesterday the xbox worked. It's been doing this for a long time now and I tried it on the other 2 tvs and it did the same thing. No signal. Thanks bro. I had switched my hdmi cable from my Xbox to my laptop for work and when I plugged it back in to my monitor, my monitor could not read the Xbox. Never have I had more issues with a console than the Xbox. Everything under the sun from constant crashes, WiFi disconnects, ghosting transactions, deleting saves, removing my games, removing my Xbox Game Pass, random coms bans, constant freezing, many blue screens and now this has happened to me. My PS4 is older and I’ve never a single issue with it, my Xbox on the other hand is younger and it breaks consistently. Truly the worlds most powerful console.
