This was the clearest and quickest youtube video to upgrade to a larger hard drive on xbox one. I have a dual caddy for SATA drives so had them both plugged in and didn't realise until this video that the GUIDs would conflict ... makes sense though. I didn't need to go through the osu initiation process as the drive was good and just needed to upgrade and copy existing data across. This process took some time as copying to and from a single caddy and was expected, left it running and went to sleep while it finished. Then just had to reset the destination GUIDs after offlining the source drive. Thanks so much.

I'd like to point out something I've come across: if you try to connect two drives with exactly the same GUID's, you may find only one will show up on disk management. If you happen to connect a second disk whilst running the script, Windows could get confused and you could end up formatting the "wrong" disk, in my case I erased the disk I wanted to copy off. Since it was an SSD, and windows automatically runs TRIM when you format an SSD, there was no prospect of recovery. And I was on the preview dashboard. Oops... Luckily I realised was still on the same preview dashboard version as another Xbox I had. I was able to copy the update partition files off that one to recover, as opposed to waiting months for OSU1 to catch up. Anyway, watch out for this! I welcome the addition to the script an option to backup a disk locally by connecting one at a time.

As of 2-19-19 this works. I did have the freezing at 57% issue when loading the osu1. So I redid the script and instead of loading the osu via usb thumdrive I just dragged it over into the “X” drive into folder A and then dragged over the boot animation file and it fired right up. I hope this helps someone. Oh ya be prepared to lose a good chunk of your SSD to the OS. My 1TB SSD only showed 780gbs after it was all setup.

I have been using your scripts and I must say I am impressed. I was not able to fix the E200 errors but I have a question. I only have a 512Gb SSD here at the moment, I want to use that and partitioned it with the scripts. When I used the standard drive from the Xbox it kept looping through an applying update and crashed around 70%. When I fired up with the SSD I had expected the E106 error but what happened is that it started with the update again. Very odd! So what happens when I turn off an Xbox and remove the cables and open the box up, it should be totally shut down, right? Does it somehow to a memory to RAM power save? Like and S3 save when a computer goes into power save mode? Is this maybe why the system gets corrupted and shows the E200 errors?

Do you have a newer version (xboxonehdd-master-10 ?) which contemplates 13GB or more in the system update?

I'm so lost what do I have to do ? I'm sorry I'm used to replacing the ps4 this is my first time replacing my Xbox Ps4 is remove old hhd and download os on usb then your good what do I have to do in simpler terms ?

I have a Xbox one S and a day one Xbox, both with power issues. Checked power supplies and capacitors they all checked out. Any insight or videos on how to fix other than reballing the CPU?

Unfortunately I don't have the proper equipment to work on or troubleshoot hardware issues of this type. I only repair obvious hardware issues, such as connectors and hard drives and write some straight forward scripts. Andrew Paul is a hardware guy who's work I really respect. what about a e101 error? is that the same as the e100? thanks

No, E100 is the only error specific to the Blu-ray drive. E101 and E102 are generally not happy with the OSU1 or "System Update" versions not matching the current NAND version.

Can i just format using the script, then drop the OSU files into the SSD, and boot up/redownload the games? or is that not going to work

Body Building Pac Man you could. Wouldn’t recommend it as it’s not one of the standard sizes. You’d need to follow the direct copy or back and restore methods since you need to pull from a working drive.

Webroot finds a worm in the calc.exe included in the script.
