I recently "inherited" an Xbox One from my daughter. The unit had a bad blu-ray drive (no motor action at all). Replaced the drive with one via eBay. Couldn't understand why I kept getting the E100 error. Must've gone through a dozen Google searches and as many YT searches.....all of which were useless.....until I came upon your video. I took your advice re: swapping blu-ray daughter boards and *BANG*....the Xbox One booted like a champ. I don't know who at Microsoft engineering thought hardcoding the Xbox motherboard to the blu-ray was a wunnerful idea but he should receive corporal punishment (figuratively speaking, of course). So, next question: I now have a blu-ray daughter board from the eBay drive that is totally functional but whose microcode is keyed to some other Xbox out there in the ether. What do you or your followers suggest doing with this "extraneous" daughter board? Can it used by someone else in need? Do you just chuck itnto the recycle bin? What?

ok, looks like you have not been here in a while BUT I am about to drag my old X-Box One out and put a new 2TB SSD in it and reload the games I have so it's usable on my TV. I was wondering if there was a better SSD for internal use and maybe even an upgrade to the DVD and wireless while I have it apart. I've used your hard drive "formatted" a few times and found it to work well, plan to use it again now. Thanks for all you offered to the community.

works good had a problem with Xbox one s new sdd wouldn't take update with new sdd. cloned sdd with original hdd works great no more errors on start up

Thank you for posting this video. Having installed a 2TB SSD to upgrade the previously replaced 1Tb spinning disk (without incident) and OSU1 repeatedly bricking at 1% this did the job that OSU1 failed to do. Xbox now working. Not sure if the hours spent doing this will ever be offset by the quicker load times, but hey, it was a challenge I rose to and successfully completed with the help of this video.Thank you so much! 🙂

I just had the E100 this today. Opened up my xbox and the 2 blu-ray cables connected to the motherboard were completely disconnected WTF how did that happen must have been some kind of chip creep situation with heat or something.. XB is working again. THANKS DUDE FOR THIS VIDEO.

BUT how to find the right OSU to update with.. Is it OSU1 OSU2 or OSU3 e.g how do you find the OS build number in safe mode when you cant access the home page

I just did mine, i think it works because it says that i have about 1.6tb of free storage though it still shows the drive as a 1.9tb(i had done a 2tb before and upgraded to a 4tb)

Do you know an easier way to do it is to plug both external hard drives into your Xbox and then you can just transfer the data from one external to the other a lot easier. I did it this way when I bought a 8 TB Seagate external hard drive for my Xbox series X and I originally had the 4 TB Seagate external hard drive so I transferred everything from that hard drive to my new hard drive, and it was quick and easy

You Should Create a Script That goes in the system update folder that partitions the drive then goes on to install the OS Name Should be: XPart Or InitilizeX

Kept getting this error code on my Xsx. tried everything then saw this video. I had removed my disc drive awhile back so all I simply had to do was reconnect my disc drive and system was able to update. Thank you!!

Has anyone used the create_xbox_drive_gui.bat version 9 script lately for Xbox One Storage Upgrades/Copies? It started off copying successfully and I'm about halfway through and now that Success status has changed to Failed status. I'm assuming that's what the "Fix Guid values without formatting the drive" is for right?" Is this just normal? But it's still copying btw. The status has changed is all.

I found an easier way to do it without power shell or command prompt…. so simple only Took me one minute for the process

If you’re having this issue in 2024+, just shake your controller. I really don’t know why but it works. If that doesn’t work, I suggest getting some electronic cleaner BEFORE you buy all this extra stuff

What do I do if my data cord broke off my disk drive…..

I'm having a lot of trouble man. I don't know what's going wrong. I've tried all the OSUs for the offline updates and this partition and it doesn't work. I know I'm making progress because now I'm getting signal to the TV and it will attempt to do the offline update but it gets to 1% and fails. I tried it with the a&b folder. Didn't work doing it without it didn't work? I don't know what's going wrong 😢 I have a one terabyte crucial SSD. I just tried it again and I get the same issue. everything happens the same as your video until I plug the flash drive in with the osu1 on it and it just gets to 1 percent and fails with a E101 00000504 8B050041 system error
