How do you know you have good contact between the retimer and the mobo?

Thank you for the guide! I've been getting ready to try and fix my dad's Xbox one x Scorpio recently, and this is to this point, the most helpful guide I've found on replacing a retainer chip. I do have a few questions though, and I'm sorry if they're dumb. 1. You set the heat gun to 300 degrees, was that Celsius or Fahrenheit? 2. Do different models of Xbox require different versions of retainer chips, or do all of them take the same one?
