Xbox Series S Power Supply Replacement

Thanks ordered a UK PSU for XBOX SERIES S off Ali Express for £25 delivered and my 11 year old son used this tutorial to replace the PSU and now the XBOX turns on again! Thanks for high quality video - it was easy for him to follow.

I want to ask something. Was it not opening at all on your Xbox device? Mine doesn't turn on at all, there is no reaction, I wonder if the problem is with the psu?

@@erdincazak7103 When i press the power button with bad PSU, you can see the light turn on for a split second. Have you tried changing the fuse on your 3 pin UK plug? What if the fuse went and it is just a bad fuse? swap it out for another plug which is working well like your kettle, microwave, etc. That is the first step I would take.

Had this problem, ordered the parts. Did everything in the video, same problem. Either I was given a PSU with the same problem or something else is wrong.

Thank you for the awesome demonstration! It looks like I'm going to have to replace mine.. I'm having this problem where my console won't turn on on first try, I press the power button and it makes the power up sound but it turns off shortly after. Sometimes it turns off right after the xbox logo pops up on the screen. Once it's on after couple of attempts I don't have any other problems, it runs for hours without turning off. That's what confused me too delay the psu replacement but I guess I can't figure it out if anything else is causing this problem.

@@Drue0204 i haven't changed it but the problem dissapeared on it's own. It rarely happens now and only when I haven't turned on the console for a longer periods of time like a day or so.. I really have no idea if this is a power supply issue or something else but I'm glad it's working now without any problems.

@@احمدالعراقي-ع6د2ظ I haven't experienced this problem for a long time. It may sound weird but It seems to have fixed itself alone. It happened during the winter so I guess it has something to do with the cold temperature at startup, in my case I guess it's a faulty module and not the psu. As long as it works without problem I won't try to open it up.

@@Dreamywakeyour problem was likely caused by a slight power surge. These systems are really sensitive to any type of voltage fluctuation.

When I bought my Xbox I don't know if I had a 10amp or 7amp power cord I pawned my xbox they lost my cord replaced it and it worked for a while now it's out it turns on for 1 second beeps turns off

The power light will turn on for a split second and then turn off and you will hear a beep. I had that issue so ordewerd a replacement PSU and used this video to fix it. Xbox working again now...

In UK, we use a a kettle plug so the part number is slightly different. The one I ordered off Ali Express arrived in a week and works perfectly. Xbox working nicely again.

Hi! When I press the power button my Series S gives off a single flash & beep and then turns off immediately. Do I also need to replace the power supply? Please note that the controller also vibrates but nothing turns on. Any suggestion will be much appreciated.

@@carric21 We are caught in a somewhat same boat, friend. 😂 Edit: Btw, there are PSUs available at aliexpress but there are no reliable means to know whether they will be compatible with the Xbox Series S that you own.
