Pro Tip, purchase a Series X with GamePass then a PS5 in 3 years, the console will probably cost 1/2 price (and maybe a smaller version is released), you can purchase the exclusives for a couple of bucks (because they are not Nintendo...) and you will save hundreds of dollars worth of non exclusive games that might be released on GamePass

I see adverts from people that in the beginning had a asking price at 2500$ that now are down to under a 1000$, some even 800$ That is 200$ above price target in Europe!

That is exactly what I thought. I was sure I was gonna buy the PS5 until yesterday, but after learning more about the Gamepass, it’s just a lot more convenient. I can wait for Sony exclusives to drop in prices and buy them for 20$ or cheaper like I did this year (Bought and played a lot of ps4 exclusives like God of War, The Last of Us, Ghost of Tsushima, Uncharted) and save a lot of money. I’ve always been a Playstation boy, but this gen Xbox is killing it with gamepass. If Sony won’t try to solve this problem, I’ll go with the Xbox

Plus new releases on day 1 and indie games like ori that I’d like to try and 360 remaster, that’s a lot of games, even quality ones (Senua, Quantum Break, A Plague Tale, Alien, Gears, Nier, Jedi, The medium and so on) I also right now have PS Now and let me tell you, imho it doesn’t even compete with gamepass. Yeah they add a few games each month but the 3/4 of them are crappy ps2 port.

@@cosmancho2959 honestly not true, there are a ton of xbox exclusives oh and if you play destiny 2 you get all expansions(which is like 180 dollars). They have a ton of classics and new titles. Game pass doesnt just come with game pass it comes with EA play too. Expanding the library to all Recent sport titles(Including 2k21).

I feel that more people have bought into both systems this generation than before. That alone says a lot! Both machines are great but one or the other takes the spot of first place in a household. I used to play constant on my PS4 / PS4 Pro, and now it's XboX in the whole family for the most part. Much due to Game-Pass and *FAMILY SHARING* One account can be shared on two machines. that is awesome!

When you drop $500 and you can instantly play tons and tons of games straight out the box is an amazing feeling. Ghosts is Tsushima took more than a week for me, took a long time and that's the thing, if you actually have a life outside of gaming then those games are well worth it. Thing is you can look at it another way, xbox has the same fps, multi player with no story.... it just depends who you are. I have both consoles, both are great. One still feels more next gen than the other but thats going to change very soon.

I wanted to say if someone is playing Destiny 2 or wanting to, It is on gamepass, and all the expansion are coming out day 1 also. I know its free to play (try) now but if you want the expansions you typically need to pay. I only need to pay for the seasons if i want to, but all of destiny is free on gamepass.

I have both as well. My ps5 had a bad buzzing noise the day I got it but said whatever because I was so excited. Xbox is better and the ps5 controllers deteriorate too fast and get drift stick

I’ve played PlayStation exclusively for 20 years and opted for a Series X and honestly I have been blown away. I can also play Skate 1 and Skate 3 on it which is a huge plus. Battery life for the controller great, the automatic shut off is useful if you accidentally leave your system on, and quick resume is an amazing feature. I’m also a big fan of the screen recording. So glad I took a risk for a new console.

PlayStation has great exclusives but is lacking on features itself. I have both the Ps5 to me is disappointing. Xbox has quick resume , vrr, 1440p native, smart delivery whereas PlayStation upgrades are a mess, no lfg on console, broken party system and terrible controller battery. Also, series x has like 20 more 120 fps games then Ps5 does.

Xbox also has over 130 games FPS boost and auto hdr games, it’s a great innovation that keeps my attention on the Xbox. I’m always looking at the two and find that Xbox has more to offer besides the exclusives for now. On top of that the Xbox does have better resolution on 3rd party games as well.

Honestly, once the Xbox big hitting exclusives come out in 2022-2023 it will be hard to top since they will have everything going for them unless Sony Implements more next gen features to the console outside of just making it more powerful. Not sure if you’re asking me or Tefty, but my PC is decent but absolutely not a powerhouse. Honestly I’m not a very knowledgeable person when it comes to PCs and their power. I know it’s beefier than an Xbox one, but not to the level of the series x. So maybe around the xbox one x level? I built it last March with the help of a much smarter friend. It only cost about $1050 so it’s definitely not top of the line. But I’m able to play everything I’ve tried without any issues at 1080p and like 90fps.

I have been an Xbox guy in the past. I wanted the PS5 but refused to pay $700 or more. So I bought the series X. Oh my goodness I am very glad I did not make the switch. I still may pursue PS5 in the future, but right now game pass, quick resume, backwards compatibility, has just been great. No regrets. And my wife, who is not into gaming, prefers the SX design, as it is a sleek and subtle gaming system. And does not clash with our decor.

Having both, I was not as impressed with the PS5s controllers like everyone was. Completely oversold to me. Game pass is such a game changer especially getting MLB: The Show on day 1.

Got both this week! Struck gold twice and got em at retail. My PS5 controller seems to die quickly as well. Between the two I’m most impressed with the PS5 so far. Mainly got the series x because game pass is just amazing.

Also funny enough you can also play ps3/ps2 and og playstation games on the xbox. Along with other old consoles since the xbox can run emulators if you download devmode.

I have been a hardcore PS gamer since day one, and also a serious Trophy hunter and despite all of that, last month i switched to XBOX eco system, and the following were my reasons: 1. For some time now, a bunch of Sony decisions had me fuming and felt like a kick in the nuts e.g. the way Sony ditch their older consoles (vita for example), and a recent decision where they decided to close down ps3, vita online stores etc. That was just the last straw for me. 2. As mentioned in the above video, GAMEPASS. I am a gamer who mostly likes to dabble in third party titles anyway, and like to play a lot of games at the same time, so gamepass was just a no brainer. Considering how much money i am actually saving with gamepass is phenominal. 3. One thing i sorely missed on PS 4 was some of the older titles that i used to love on PS1/2/3. Like their older consoles, Sony likes to ditch their old exclusives as well. Xbox is a striking contrast to this. They pamper their old titles, old consoles and even old peripherals. There is a loyalty there, which somehow makes me trust Xbox with any long term investments i am going to make with them, and not ending up losing access to a whole eco system like ps vita. 4. Until PS5 release a redesign for their console, I cant even imagine buying the ugly atrocity which is PS5, as it is a horrible looking console imo. I just find xbox series x really beautiful in comparison, but its a personal preference i think. 5. I mentioned I was a trophy hunter on PS, and that has been one thing stopping me for years to jump ship, but I have realized that xbox achievements system is actually somewhat better because of their rewards program, which can give me rewards like a free month of gamepass ultimate now and then. If Sony had a similar reward system, i would have had months of free playstation plus, but god forbid if Sony ever decides to give free stuff to their consumers, or reward their commitment for a change. I have also discovered in the past month, how much i am feeling like being pampered in the xbox eco system. No hassle on cloud saves etc., backward compatibility titles like the old COD games, elder scrolls: Morrowind, and tonnes of old games that i absolutely love. All this while saving tonne of money on GP. Also starting from July 2021, and well into 2022, XBOX is dropping a wave of new games (its like a ketchup effect) and most (almost all) are gonna be day 1 on GP, so I am really happy on the timing of my decision to switch eco systems. I am not saying I will never buy a PS console again. I will definitely wait until a new hardware design is released for PS5, and even then I will only have it for playing PS5 exclusives, for everything else I am gonna stick with XSX which I am so impressed with and absolutely love.

If youre still itching to play your old ps games, you can on your xbox. Google retroarch and boom, you got emulators for a boat load of old consoles. Just need to tinker with it a bit but its well worth the hassle if youre into retro gaming.

Series X is amazing, mine day one. I have samsung rechargeable batteries for my controller and they work very well. Halo infinite will be game of the year. Gamepass is just as next generation as you can get.

I have four external SSDs so i'm up 6 TB in storage now for games and movies! Just that Xbox can run emulators and external code from other developers like Dolby Atmos, Kodi, VLC, Air Server (Apple) just makes the experience so, so much better. I even run my N64, WII, PS1, NEO GEO emulators as well 👍

I have every (mainstream) system that has ever came out (45 years old). And my Playstation have pretty much been blu-ray players but this one has me excited. Since I have gotten with Alienware I haven't been playing consoles in a while. My son for some reason doesn't want the PS5. (He's team Xbox 100%). But he 13 and starting to stream so I pulled out all my old consoles and put them on shelves in his background and told him you not a true gamer unless you play on all consoles. (Especially as an influencer.)

The biggest selling point for me has always been the controller. Ever since the original Xbox S model controller, I’ve been on an xbox console. The joysticks being offset feels natural to me. The joysticks being side by side on PS controllers basically cripples my gameplay. I’m glad they only did minor changes with the xbox controllers. I’m a big fan of theXbox elite 2 controller.

True. The golden rule "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" really applies here. The Xbox One controller was so good that they didn't need to make any big changes. The share button in the middle is a little annoying however, as I press mine by accident a lot and I wish they left it out, but besides that it's perfect.

Quick resume is a godsend. Thats the most suprised feature for me. Even after cutting the electricity I can resume where I was is a great experience.

I went for the series x, the only risk you take with the series x is the 1st party games still need to prove themselves whereas ps5 exclusives you can pretty much take it to the bank that they will be great. The video sums the pros and cons of each system up pretty well without really mentioning things like FPS boost, quick resume and smart delivery. No matter which console you choose you will 100% get you money’s worth and both will have a suite of great games for you to play, just enjoy both and don’t get caught up in any petty tribalism between the two 😃

I've had my Series X since December. I've played the heck out of it and enjoy it a lot. A few days ago I got a ps direct invitation email from Playstation and I figured why not it was super easy to get and I got games and 2 extra controllers to go with it. I wasn't planning on getting a ps5 (have never tried to get one) but I have been wanting to play miles morales, Ghost of Tsushima, tlou 2, horizon zero dawn, and I'll try the other ps5 exclusives when they go on sale. I'm super excited to see what the ps5 is about, everything will get here in 4 days I can't wait!

I have had the PS5 since day one and I love it, love the Controller and the UI makes it truly feel next gen. The Series X I picked up from Walmart right before Christmas, and with it having pretty much the same exact controller and the exact UI as the previous XBOX, it just doesnt feel next gen, and 8 months in there is still no Series X exclusives pretty much. NOW with that said, I play my PS5 and my Series X just collects dust most days, BUT starting this month with Microsoft Flight Simulator coming out, Forza Horizon 5, and Halo this year, I finally will have reasons to finally play the XBOX. But games that are on both consoles, like F1 2021 thats about to release, I am buying on the PS5 due to the use of the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback.

The exclusive talk is important but you have to realise that the majority of Sony exclusives are third person action type games so there isn't much variety if you want something different.

There actually is differences environments, characters, mechanics, the emotions throughout the games, action different out comes games like ratchet and clank as platformers, souls/borne and returnal like games as skilled based games killzone a fps, spiderman uncharted and tlou are fun open world games with good story telling, Virtua fighter 5 street fighter 5 fighting games, they basically changed the whole of God of war into an rpg i think ghost of Tsushima is an rpg to

I believe Killzone is dead right now with no future plans. Nothing wrong with Sony exclusives, they are awesome games. But xbox game pass gives you access to so many different games it would be a shame if people only spent their gaming time staring at the back of someone's head and arse all the time.

I just managed to get an Xbox Series X and got it delivered 2 days before Christmas. I haven't been able to put down the controller for over a week. MS flight sim is a beauty and a technical wonder. Also been replaying my entire collection of old games. Skyrim, Witcher 3, Cyberpunk, Hitman 3, fifa 21, AC Valhalla, MCC. The loading speeds alone make the games so much fun. Fast travel in the Witcher 3 and AC Valhalla is actual fast travel. Then FPS boost, auto HDR, quick resume. And of course game pass. It is worth every penny. I'm sure the PS5 is good too but its line up of exclusive games don't excite me that much. Horizon, Last of Us and god of war just don't really seem that compelling to me. Spiderman 2 and wolverine look pretty good though.

Honestly for me the Xbox exclusives are much better. Sure, Spider-Man would be cool but for me Microsoft Flight sim and Forza Horizon alone are worth getting the Xbox over the PlayStation (if you don’t have a PC that is)
