I just purchased this console last week. I am a PC gamer (iMac with Bootcamp) but I couldn't spare the extra disk space for Windows so I partitioned my Mac drive to be dedicated for Mac use and no longer could play my favorite games. One thing with first person shooters, I am terrible without a keyboard and mouse and most Xbox games don't support a keyboard and mouse. I wish there was a way to acquire the skill to use a gaming controller to be as least as good as when I had a keyboard and mouse.

Nice brief review, from about 2:30 in. Not sure why you started off by talking about latest AMD chips and ray-tracing etc. I don’t see that this has any relevance to how the current Xbox performs for console gaming? It’s still currently the most powerful console available.

Do most 360 games play at higher resolutions or is there like a standard resolution while playing them on Series X?

Yes, some of them do. The Halo games also have 50 cent blood on the sand. Games like crackdown have hardly been enhanced

Newer games are finally beginning to use the full graphical capabilities. But you may want to just wait until Christmas for the PS5 pro

Literally just unpacked my brand new series x a couple of hours ago. Two things I've realised is the controller buttons are super clicky. Never known a console with such loud buttons. The other thing is that not every xbox 360 game is playable on the x. I thought it was. On top of that there was no controller wire in the box which I thought was a bit disappointing. Other than that I'm really glad to have it and going forward I'm really looking forward to gaming on it.

Could you please help me? I am torn between the Series S and Series X. I wanna buy the Series X, but I heard this thing has a lot of problems with the disc drive. I mainly want the Series X, because I support physical media and I am not a very big fan of digital games. I heard people had issues with Series X reading certain discs. Has this problem been fixed in newer models? Thank you, good sir.

It's a must have. If you ever had a love or enjoyed Xbox and or have an Xbox GT. It really is a must have if you're into gaming. Only if you have the TV for it. If not. Just get the S.

Do I have to have Internet in order to play games? Internet is a luxury that currently eludes me. Do to living in a more rural area. I’m a HUGE physical gamer, & one of the things that turned me off. The previous console was internet requirements.

At this point you may as well wait. The pro version of the series x will most likely be diskless so you may end up getting the regular Series X anyway.

As a PC user with an xbox series x and PS5 I don't really care for ray tracing one bit even on my 3080 pc never use it and on consoles I use performance mode I think all platforms have their pros and cons I tend to play my consoles more because it's more relaxing just pick up and play. On PC I tend to mess around with config files to get better FPS on some of the triple A titles that are basically crap on PC it's why I won't invest in a better GPU like the 4090 expensive but games are console ports look at dragon dogma can barely hit 60 at times even on high end rigs so the wife uses the PC now for work things slowly given up on PC gaming to much messing around plus game pass looks great and cheap deal on xbox exclusives on PS5 look good too I may go back to PC for path of exile 2.
