Thanks for the video. I always use your old videos, but I'm still watching just in case I'm missing something new to this version. Have you tried the Retroach Citra emulator?. I can't get it to run anything, I might be missing something or, there's just not much to run so far - I dunno. By the way... down at Reddit, they do advice to use the Edge internal browser cause the page might not work when trying to pay for the licence, also they recommend using a brand new account if the main doesn't work.

How do you carry over saves from the xbox to the PC? Works great on xbox but when I plug my USB to play retroarch on my PC, none of my saves carry over, even when I use the same directory location of the usb.

You need a fast thumb drive or SSD if you want to use HD texture packs otherwise it isn't as important.

you need sega CD bios for it run properly. make sure you tell retroarch where to find the bios to run the games.

@@andyharleychannel3817 double check the settings, retroarch will override certain cores without looking for bios files, i've been able to play a few ps1/dreamcast titles that way. There should be a guide telling you all the essential files you need to optimize cores/standalone emulators. Flycast, PCSX2, Duckstation, are all the UWPs I'd recommend using. Dolphin standalone is good but it asks to boot from USB.

Is there any point to installing a newer version of retroarch? it's been a good while since I installed it. Also how do I delete older apps and does it give me back the space on my hard drive partition for dev mode if I delete stuff?

It looks like you need it for n64 stuff to work properly. Just highlight the app and delete it and then install a later UWP version using remote file share. You should also change your dev storage if you want more dedicated space instead of booting from USB/external HD. If you do change your dev storage space, make sure you have all your UWPs/files on the HD backed up because you will lose them once you choose to modify HD space.

Hi thanks for the video. I am having a strange problem though trying to download Retroarch for Xbox Series S from the Xbox Devstore. For some it keeps saying the Network Connection is lost. But my internet is fine, I have even downloaded different products that I do not need from the Devstore and they download ok. I thought I should try to download from the official site, that downloaded ok but the folder you mentioned .appx was not there. I have actually been trying to do this for the last 2 hours but with no joy. My guess is that there could be something wrong with the Devstore download link. Any help would be much appreciated thanks.

Hi @@ibizamia31, I was trying the same as you, and didn't figured out how to do it. I tried every payment card I have (ActivoBank Debit, Credit and Revolut), but all of those ended up giving me a "don't have enough money in the account to finish purchase" message. The way I managed to get a dev account was creating a new dev account using other email (because the one I was trying first is already associated with Portugal) and set Brazil as the country. Since I have a Brazilian card and address as well, I managed to buy the dev account (and waaay cheaper than here in Portugal)

I have tried frustratingly for over 5 hours to download this and it keeps failing with an error message saying “failed - network error”. I have tried disabling my anti virus program, my firewall etc and the closest i get is 8 secs from completion. Is there anybody that may have this on google drive, mega etc as a download link? Choose download from GitHub instead and choose the appropriate version for the console you are using. Mesa for Xbox Series or Angle for Xbox One.

Yes, you need the angle version for Xbox One (labeled as Xbox One on the dev store). If you are trying to use the mesa version (Xbox series version) it won't load.

@@ArchadesGames i have the store pulled up right now and there is only one version of retroarch for me... when i click the download button it loads up a google drive saying xbox one and the file has the word angle in it which would imply this is the xbox one version you are talking about. When I try going through the official retroarch website, there is only one link and it says xbox series/one. So how do I get the version of retroarch specifically for the xbox series x....?
