Games like Indy and Avowed need some breathing room to shine on their own and not be overshadowed by some other big release later in the year. Xbox needs to be strategic with their release dates. These studios also need to be absolutely sure they can hit a specific date before announcing one. We'll get firm release dates later.

The problem is that while they need breathing room, they shouldn't wait too long as interest will wane over time. Plus, it would destroy interest for Indy(in particular) if they did not release it in 2024 like they've been promoting it.
