Also the gameplay formula is extremely dated. With the addition of a huge saturation of live service games, people prefer loadouts and flashy abilities. Expedition 33, stalker 2, wuchang, and ark 2 are all not 1st party studio games and will all appear on PS. Not sure why you are bragging about ark 2 anyways, that game looks like @ss. Indiana jones, CoD and doom will all be on PS as well. Xbox invested $70 billion dollars, so its a given they will have alot more 1st party games. On the other hand the majority of themvwill be coming over to PS anyways, so what's the point in having an xbox?

People need to understand that high end PC parts are expensive, if people want gaming consoles to be able to run games at 60 to 120+ frames per second. 4k natively with high-end graphics visuals is unfortunately going to cost more money people need to understand that all of that has gone up in price and the more graphics power people want the more the machines are going to cost.

Xbox new console will probably be a PC with a stripped down Windows version with locked software and drivers on one uniform hardware configuration. They have expressed, in the past, the wish for a Xbox OS that will allow the use of multiple gaming platforms/launchers like steam, Ea pro, epic...etc. Making a PC with a one and only hardware configuration with locked drivers and software(apps) will allow console gamers to feel just at home. Devs and players won't have to deal with the same amounts of PC stability issues they are so afraid of.

They know that console gamers that dread the move to PC are afraid of all the so called issues they've heard about or probably experienced in the past. I have been a PC only gamer for about 3 years and I will never go back. I feel that I never left my Xbox but just have more games and freedom for so much cheaper on the long run. But I also know that lots of gamers just don't want to make the move for legit reasons. A locked Pc configuration with a huge library is the answer for console gamers and devs.

It allows Microsoft to bring a bunch of their newly owned franchises over to xbox gamers such as wow and starcraft without having to spend extra money porting them... doing a port on somthing as massive as wow would be a ton of work with the base game and all expansions

I'm all in for continued consoles. I'm not a fan of buying parts and upgrades every few months, downloading drivers, and making sure hardware A works with software B and driver C. Then figuring out why my speakers aren't working after an OS update.... Etc etc etc. all to play a game for 16 hours? A console may not be the latest with hardware when compared to the PC, but at least it'll play the game right out of the box.

That's a you issue, though. You don't need to upgrade a PC every few months. My pc was built a year ago, and it runs anything I throw at it. Including new games without using upscaling. I didn't even get the best parts either. Not even the xt variant of my card.

You are putting too much faith in Sony being able to sell that PS5 pro. This isn't 2016. Sony has been bombing the past 2 years. The FF games didn't sell. Stellar blade didn't sell. Concord just flopped. People aren't high on PlayStation right now. And that pro is coming out with no games. It will sell out first way because of scalpers but by Xmas it will be apparent that those systems are sitting in some idiots garage. Even with games $700 is historical a tough sale and Sony isn't even in the position right now to make that case. Switch 2 will be $400, Xbox will be $300 and $500. $500 is the ceiling for consoles and the market will spank Sony for trying to break that ceiling again like it did with the PS3.

The digital stores make WAY more money on 3rd party games & micro transactions than the platform holders make on selling 1st party games. It is pretty insane if you think that microsoft might as well stop making consoles and just sell their games on the playstation store. A handheld xbox cannot be the cheap option next generation. Handhelds are either a generation behind or very expensive. With high end consoles getting expensive, it is the perfect time for xbox to continue the series S line and offer an offordable way into the next generation. It is said series S already sells mores units than series X. So it makes no sense to cancel your most popular product line. I think we will see a new series S and I think it will help xbox sell more consoles next generation than this generation.

There is a tipping point, a $700 console is to close to $1000 whereas a $500 console has a tipping point. Like i said, the moment it starts to shift from Console to PC, due to rises of standard pricing that's where gaming as a whole suffers. I and many console buddies i know, DO NOT WANT PC TO BE THE STANDARD!! The setup alone is tedious, certain games either require the best PC to play on because it may take a load on the CPU Aka your typical modern COD game. PC just in general requires alot updates. Microsoft doesn't care about hardware nearly as much as they care about software. Hardware is generally not as profitable as software sales. Microsoft is playing the long game with its decisions. By adding Zenemax and Activision/Blizzard to Microsoft game studios they have positioned themselves as the largest game producer. If Ubisoft and CD project red keep going downhill I think Microsoft would gladly add them to their stable. As far as Microsoft putting some of its games on PS5 and Switch, that's a no brainer, PS5 has 60 million players and Switch has even more, why not take their money too!

Each of the "gaming consoles" manufacturers have 1 or 2 spec designs to fully optimize 1st , 2nd & 3rd party games on, unlike my Workstation in the office, or my mom's PC that she plays solitary on or the High End Rig that cost God knows what! Point being, Rockstar's GTA 6 will release Day 1 on a projected 100M+ "Console Only" install base and will not be legally released on any other PC until 18 months 🙄 later! Good Rigs aren't cheap.
