Honestly it’s one of my main gripes with this game. I feel the savior schnapps should only be a thing in hardcore. As a casual gamer, this has been very frustrating so far. My best suggestion is to find a bed somewhere to save often. Some beds have this feature, and some inns do not have this feature, which is also annoying.

I love this game! I can't say this enough. I'm on my third playthrough and still having a blast. This time, as soon as I got to the mill, I went treasure hunting and then bought a cheap horse for only 170 grochen. Next I learned to read. I recommend buying repair kits for all if your gear and learning the maintenance skill. Then go train with Robard. After every session, repair your gear. This will get your stats and skills up very quickly. MAINTENANCE was the first skill I maxed out while doing this. Getting your other stats like strength and agility is very important so you can use the better weapons found in game. High end weapons combined with good training goes a long way in this game. Still there are times I really miss a good Fus Roh Dah!

W. Devarien I couldn't possibly agree with you more. For once, alchemy is a _task_ that gives a sense of achievement, not just a timesink _chore_ that bolsters everything else. This whole game is a dream come true for me. I'm so sick and ungodly tired of zombies and aliens and robots and magic and silly nonsense. Human beings are scary enough as is. And I've ALWAYS wished for a game where I'm not "the chosen one" born with the skill to save the world. I want my character to be BAD at things I haven't worked hard to earn, that way I can actually feel some sense of pride about the things I AM good at. That's not so crazy, is it?

I disagree with the haggling tip. I've always found that larger sales give larger amounts for how much you can haggle, while smaller transactions allow relative, smaller increments.

I've always been the kind of gamer that feels cheated that seemingly every single game out there ALWAYS has to have some stupid zombies or monsters, bullet sponges or stupidly unrealistic weapons, every kind of nonsense you can imagine has been done to death, but somehow REALISM has never occurred to any gamemaker out there? I was able to get past most of those hangups enough to love Skyrim, but that's ~10 years old now and I've beaten it too many times. The Witcher 3 was great, but not as replayable as I had hoped. Even when a game is "realistic enough" or replayable enough for me to get past all the silliness they end up having 'very' shallow skill systems, or some other silly nonsense that makes them annoying. A couple weeks ago Ghost of Tsushima came out, and I got a LOT of enjoyment out of that game, but earlier today I got the platinum trophy. As exceptional of a game as that was, 14 days to platinum?! Bruh, c'mon... That's too easy. I'm SO elated to see _Kingdom Come: Deliverance_ has come so far on such a small (and independent) budget, and as someone who loves Skyrim and Witcher 3 but wants them to be more realistic or more in-depth, or more SOMETHING, I'm most DEFINITELY picking this game up while it's only $15 on PSN, with all DLC for just another $10. I'm stoked. I can deal with bugs and difficulty spikes. I'm so tired of magical nonsense and being "the chosen one". Just let me be a regular person in a realistic world for once, dammit!

Your post resonates with me. Love the Witcher 3, but you are too powerful out of gate. I've been playing this game for less than a month and it's amazing. Only one bug so far in 50+ hours. I have some of the best armour in game, best horse and still have to plan my attacks on bandit camps. Because if your fighting 2 or more opponents on foot and they are heavily armoured, you are dead. Especially if they have a dog who bites and holds weapon arm. Love it. This is on normal level, hardcore is exponentially harder. If you like realism, this game is amazing. You have to eat, sleep and can get food poisoning if you eat rotten food. And dammit, wash yourself peasant!

Playing on Xbox one X. The game is great. Like nothing I’ve played before . I especially like how you can really feel how in skilled your character is when you start and how you can feel him getting better at things as you level up, go from hardly able to wield a sword to slaying foes with superior skill. Combat feels awkward at first but after leveling up some combat becomes a lot of fun. The game looks beautiful when all textures are loaded in but the pop in needs to be improved with some patching and polishing. So far I’m really loving this RPG.

IAM VALERIAN combat is fun but when you get powerful it becomes boring when slay bandits and such with little or no effort, if you want long drawn out battle I suggest you apply marigold health potion on a extra sword or two then simply hit them and it will raise their health. The pop up you are getting is due to the xbox not having good enough hardware with a powerfull pc you can increase the draw distance and eliminate the pop in unfortunately there is nothing that can be done to eliminate this on consoles because it us a hardware limitation. This game on pc even has settings that are so demanding that they are for future hardware so you can tune the settings on pc to your liking and it looks amazing if pop in is the main issue you would want a powerfull gpu with loads of Vram.

Here's a tip! After you finish the beginning Skalitz mission, stick to the main storyline quest! I went off and did side quests, thinking I'd level up before doing the main quests.... I ended up doing the Monastery quest, The House of God - and getting killed by Zmola over and over again, because I didn't have any training - Best to stick to the Main quests until you've trained up in sword fighting -_-

On my 2nd play thru I did the opposite: avoided the main quest, stalked bandits, did the poaching and "village" quests, hunted treasure, talked to everyone ; and at Sword & Mace 10 dived into the main and sailed thru it pretty seamlessly. Much more fun, much more linear and a lot less reloading.

Thanks for the video. I’m back at this game after 5 years away… here are some updates: The miller’s lock picking chest disappears after a certain number of successful attempts and the guards now search your horse when performing random or non-random searches. The biggest exploits I’ve found are: certain NPCs are immortal and you can punch them infinitely to level up strength, unarmed, agility, warfare, etc…. There is another exploit with jumping that allows quick leveling of vitality. If you use the drinking perk “safe passage” you can quickly move large amounts of inventory across the map (let’s say from Skalitz to Rattay) when overloaded by just drinking several high-alcohol drinks and being transported to your bed when you pass out. Finally, if you put goods in the miller’s very hard chest, it turns directly into money after a few days (more than he would pay you for the goods) which you can then rob. All of these can be found on videos across the internet for further guidance.

The best way to make money is to invest in a trader, sell everything with the lowest prices possible. The trader will become rich on the second day as he sells the goods. Bring your next batch The next day and he'll have some cash to pay you. I make around 6K in one night and it takes 6 full armors or 6 cooked deer meet.

@Nath T the goods you sell them, they resell at a higher price, which reflects once their stock resets. so they make more off the goods than you do. So you are making a lot of gold stealing from their chests once they reset and the goods are gone and the groschen gets added.

My tips, if you want to become strong or unstoppable in this game all you need is potions. There are two important potions : 1) Aqua vitalis for strength like achilles. 2) Buck's blood potion for stamina to absorb many hits and you will attack much more..if your stamina is low you will get lots of damage from hits (Sorry for bad english, not my first language)

Other tips. The fighting is based on your skill points and only partly on your personal skills! So invest some time into training to get better. e.g. you can train your defense skill also during a fist fight. Always use the grindstone before you sell any weapon.

My tip, train a lot with Bernard asap, just ask to train combos and swing away at him and you'll increase in strength, agility, warfare and sword really fast. Don't do it to much though or the game will be too easy. Also choke a guard standing alone in Skalitz right away and you'll have pretty good armor in the start. Or right away when you come to Talmberg at night go to where the guards are sleeping and one guard that later will be part of a quest will be sleeping alone and you can choke him for aschen brigandine kit, riveted spauldrons and Nuremberg gauntlets amongst other things

If I was going to start another guy I would just do what I do for money now. Go North of Sasau like you are going back to Skallitz, you will come to a place where there is a hut and a willow tree on the opposite side of a bridge to the right of the hut and shortly before the willow tree are spawn locations for the random encounters. You will come across guards, bandits, cumans and traders. The bandits and guards here have some of the best gear in the game and you don't have to fight them often there are corpses of dead NPC's laying on the ground that will have the same gear as those living just loot the dead bodies while they fight or hide and wait till the fight is over allowing for an easier victory often one will run causing the others to chase allowing you time to loot the corpses. I don't recommend doing this your first playthrough you will become overpowered quickly.

When playing on PC you don't have to stick a blue dot on your monitor just add in "user.cfg" file this line "wh_pl_showfirecursor=1" and you're good to go :)

About the crosshair, if you are on a pcgo into your game directory and create a txt file called user then put in this line "wh_pl_showfirecursor 1" save and turn it into a cfg file, now you have a small ingame golden circle where you aim. you could also do it in the console but then you'd have to do it everytime you start the game

Wow! A year on and I never realized on console, you had to actually time how long you boil potions. On pc it just stops automatically after one turn. The hourglass pretty much does nothing.

I've found that it's better to haggle with large amounts of items, because if you're trying to sell items for (for example) 1,000 groschen, it's easier to ad 2-300 groschen to the price than compared to selling individual items for (for example) 50 groschen and you can only add 5 maybe 10 groschen per item. This varies a lot depending on haggling skill of course, but it's generally easier to add more money to larger sums.

Another great early game perk is the lowborn perk. Henry was not born a noble, therefore he will not regularly interact with nobles, he will interact with peasants mainly. That permanent +3 speech skill boost to peasants really carries you. Even with a speech stat of 2, you can be confident that (if it's a peasant) they won't have a very high speech either, giving you a leg up with your speech of 2 (+3)

For archery I just exploited the log shooting game(chumps) early on. Grinding archery that way early on is pretty fun and profitable when max betting. Just stand as far as you can in the water and shoot while levelled with the logs. Pretty fool proof and no need for tape on your screen.

For haggling just get that perk that gives you a last chance after pissing them off. Then when you haggle go as low as possible, they go to half the price. And sometimes you get lucky and can still offer lower than that. But because it's still a much higher offer than your last, they will usually take it. This way actually saves you more money the higher the price, so you can also do all the items at once.

Archery takes practice but once you get some strength its super powerful against non plate armored enemies, also pro tip check the stat requirements on the bow before using it

You got stronghold, without using a shield. It only works with shields lol. Also you did not mention how powerful stealing is in this game. All the stores' inventory and money exists in chests, instead of some magical hidden place, like in other games. You can just steal everything ,instead of purchasing. If you paid a file or paid for repairs, you can also just steal your money back.

Starting tip: NEVER SKIP LEG DAY!!! Pick flowers like a clepto and unlock leg day so you also get strength exp from all those squats. Sell those flowers at the tanner near the mill, the hunter in Rattay, and the other merchants in Rattay. By Herbalism lv 20 and a good horse you can gather enough to sell for 2k to 3k+ groshen in a couple minutes. Check the field to the east of the mill where you start on the north side of the river. You will gather 3k+ dandelions in a few grabs and there are more valuable herbs there as well. If you can sell items to the miller that will give you access to more profits. Between just him, the tanner, and the huntsman in Rattay I make 4k whenever I am in the area.

Lmao, in Speech perks tree the one ya should pick first is no doubt Final offer, cuz after that when haggling you can just drop the price as low as possible and hence the seller will suggest the lowest price he can accept. Usually it turns out to be like 35-40% discount

You can upgrade many things in one place to level 20 before you even have to talk to Radzig in Rattay like strength/ agility /warfare / Vitality / bow / archery /unarmed / sword / axe / mace. Just lean how to pick very hard locks then steal about £3500 cash and all the weapons and armor from the swordsmith / and the Armor smith, Buy a horse from, Neuhof and head to sasau monastery. Close by will be be be a animal pen. with two cows and about eight pigs and some chickens. Kill all the cows and the pigs with hands or bow or whatever weapon . Once killed ride off a little way and return so the animals respawn and do the same thing, But be carful as people do walk about by the white building i think its a stable. By the time you get to train with Bernard you will be as hard as nails. Just make sure you stab not slash the animals with weapons as i think it gives you more xp.

I do not intend to be mean when I say this, but the Miller's training chest is not an exploit. That was put there like that intentionally and the Miller says as much. While it may net you a few quick early levels, it is a far more tedious method than picking other locks as they give more XP per pick. So it will depend on the player.

The one they mention is a minor exploit as it is meant to be used for beginners, not for a master who can autopick easy locks (the method they listed) to get infinite effortless exp for lockpick

If you want to make the game really easy for yourself do this: when you fast travel you'll come across the "wayfaring knight" if you win or lose the duel doesn't matter, after the duel knock him out and steal his armour. The second time I recommend selling his armour

I cannot believe how much of a hidden gem this game is. I just finished the game yesterday and I started a new game as soon as the credits rolled. What a fun game. And the ending. (No spoilers of course) but the ending. Can’t wait till part 2. This company is also new. This is their first RPG. And yes their are glitches and sometimes horrible frame rate it’s still one of the greatest RPG of all time. I truly mean that. Let’s pray they don’t fuck it up and over correct KCD2. anyways. Guards do search sattlebags. I lost two sets of dice that were on my horse. Luckily, I had to reload a save and backtrack 2 hours of progress, so I got them back. But dont rely on the horse.

At 6:53 it shows the flaw in your haggling approach. Your reputation with this merchant is only 21 which means you are getting much less coin than you should be. To raise your reputation quickly, especially with this merchant, your main money-maker, make lots of transactions and tip them a few extra groats every time. Not only will they offer you more coin for your goods, a higher reputation with the merchants will quickly raise your overall reputation in a town which affects many game factors.

Ps. Remember. If you haggle you lose reputation. What I would do is reverse haggle. Buy something for 1 coin then haggle but offer him .01 more and you will gain reputation for that vendor and the town. Keep doing this to ever vendor in every town. And soon you will be the most loved through our kingdom come. To sum it up. Haggle to save money when making a big purchase. Then do the reverse haggle for 1 groschen and give the vendor one click in the positive over and over till you max reputation with that vendor and then go to the next.

cant believe this game is on xbox game pass , ive always thought all the games with the lower ratings and the old games no one plays anymore go on game pass , im over the moon its been put on there, its by far the best RPG ive ever played, so realistic, so glad i stunbled across this gem of a game, hope they make another, very enjoyable easily 10/10 from me and i dont rate games this high at all, the thing i love the most is the combat you start never having weilded a sword in your life, to becoming a master swordsman (with practice), if you dont practice your skills you wont get very far, DO NOT rush the game , do side quests gather groschen and work on your skills, go for light armour and a sword if you are a beginner, itll make your life in this game so much easier.., love this game

I disagree with savescumming when lock picking. First of all, it breaks the immersion, and second, even failed attempts increase the character's lock picking skill. Also, cheating like sticking something on the screen to use as a aiming reticule for bows is pretty lame.

My best advice for the early game is when you go to the bathhouse with Hans Capon steal his sword and clothes from the chest because he won’t react and you will easily get the best weapon in the game

She didn’t explain this tip but if u wanna get better at sword fighting or any weapon in that cause go to the combat trainer and like go at it for hours. It took me a good 2 and a half hours to get my Henry from a level 5 sword level to a level 14 so trust me it’s worth it(now I can fight like 4 at once)

Did they change how the practice lock picking chest works? I tried it a few times but eventually it said I ran out of lock picks. I though you were supposed to be able to do it indefinitely, now I don’t have a lock pick and I need one for a quest. Also, I really wanted to get my lock picking skill up but if my lock picks break even on the practice chest then what’s the point?

alchemy table is in separate room accessed from the side building. its not accessed from apothecary. so if you are facing towards apothecary entrance, you go right around the corner of the building and first doors from the left if i remember correctly

You want to kill everything and almost never get hurt? Just use the bow and arrows. As long as you walk backwards whoever you are fighting almost never swings at you, haha they just walk towards you with their weapons up.

The lock picking is horrible. But trust me. Once you get the hang of it. It’s actually really fun. Very hard locks are almost impossible no matter what level you are. Just use Padfoot and they become really easy. When I first stated this game. I hated. HATED lock-picking. Now I love it. .

Tip. Haggling constantly actually lowers your rep with merchants over time making the prices for sold items go down slightly and buying items go up. Instead give them a "tip" every now and then by over paying slightly to increase rep. Better prices over time.

Whenever I sell off small items I do this. I haggle for bigger sells and log offs of goods and tip them when buying small things. Definitely helps slowly raking up of my coffers for new armor and swords lol

Most of the time, before selling off a big load of stuff, I sell one cheap item and haggle to give the merchant a small tip and then sell the load. If i am purchasing repairs, i also do this before the sale to get the merchant more money for the main transaction.

Stealth boost, mid game if you join the monastery. First, put all your belongings in an owed chest. Join the monastery. Spoilers Second: Assassinate dude and hide the body. 3: attend daily tasks, go to bed but wake up at midnight. 4: go into stealth mode (crouch) and knock out all the monks, novices eat. Go back to bed and sleep until morning. 5: repeat
