Pro-tip. You can earn AP by finishing foes with Warp-Strike. You can earn quick AP by grinding to level 30 and heading back to hammerhead and farm Sabertusks for AP as you'll most likely one shot them by then.

at the beginning of chapter 3 when u can upgrade your items head to cape caem, theres a small light house with a well ext to it tbat had a glass stone or gem on top. said item is used to upgrade engine blade i to engine blade ii which for me had over 200 attack power, makes for an easy boost from there on out

I recommend doing as many side quests as you can and save all of your EXP. I did that and I saved up over 100,000 experience. Went to double my experience for the 10,000 Gil and went from level 19 to 43!

Really, well that is the problem when I play these types of games. I have to complete every side quest, find every item, and kill every enemy!

Daniel Escobar no problem. Glad it helped someone. You can also use your elemancy and add the item "Rare Coin" or "Debased coin" and it will also give you more experience points in that battle. Level up like a pro!

Control layout C made the difference between struggling with combat and rinsing combat. Parries and ripostes are so much easier to do with the shoulder buttons.

Here's a tip. If you're exploring the early area and hunting monsters make sure you're at least level 15 before taking on the Bandersnatch in the desert. That thing is level 38 and *VERY* grumpy.

I got a trick that helped me literary complete the story with no effort: collect 100,000 exp by staying up for weeks in game or even more, that's just where I stopped. Go to the restaurant (idk if there's a better one) and double it to make it 200,000 exp.

Once you get to chapter 9 there is a 3x exp hotel, costs 30k to stay there though.

Another trick: sprint for a period of time and then constantly jump. During your jumps the stamina bar refills and you can sprint again. You can even preemptively hold the jump button while airborn so you make a frameperfect jump when landing. I'm not quite sure which is faster, jumping or sprinting. But one thing for sure is jumping > normal running

I find it worthwhile to sleep at a camp when you are just roaming around and doing small side quests, since they usually have a lot of elemancy points/treasure points from which you can choose what you need to get. Sleeping at a motel/caravan is what I do before going for a major quest. And I always leave with eating something from one of the diners first thing in the morning to get the stat boosts from food...

For the stamina trick, I use a bracelet that I picked up that gives Noctis infinite stamina.

Great tips, a couple i suggest is using a shield against fast nimble characters in order to make them vulnerable. Also you can literally run through the main game in 30 hours or less with avg equipment and running through un needed fights, so you can get the ring of lucii....when you have load up your game after beating the game you'll have extra content unlocked and a low level to still make the side quests challenging....essentially you can now explore to your hearts content without anything being blocked

if money is an issue get to altisia and play the 10k pinball style game and collect 99 of the wooden block looking things then leave the minigame and you get an item that can be sold for 500k (can be repeated). at this point you will also have access to the 3x EXP rest spot. hope this helps some1 even tho its a bit late :)

nice video only thing i didnt know was the infinite sprint n how to actually use the wait mode but those bounties def recommend those cuz i knew eventually we were gonna have to start switchin those weapons out n like most rpgs those high teir weapons come later in the game., with those bouties id say invest in weapons potions n elixirs, and DONT sell everything u find bc some of those can be mixed with the elements to make them more potent for those high tier enemies.

Only started to you 'Wait Mode' in combat at Chapter 6 and it's proving to be very useful - Wish I would have used it sooner, so hopefully someone reads this and get's the heads up :) It gives you much more of a strategic advantage against your opponents.

I was really lucky. I was wondering around not long after starting when I got attacked and was nearly killed by something. When I latched onto the right enemy it was a Cactuar ( did I spell that right lol ) gave me thousands of EXP levelled up about 6 times woohoo

It's not as much of a 'boost' as it is a 'bonus' to what you have already acquired. So, for example, you decide to rest (with 500 exp) at the Hammerhead trailer which has a 1.2 experience multiplier. So, after it's all said and done, you would net a total of 600 exp. You get 'boosts' from various foods, which only last as long as the food buff is still in effect (duration depends on the ascension skills pertaining to food you have unlocked (on the Exploration tab).

Xander Crease - Unfortunately true. About Chapter 3, I decided to finally watch Brotherhood, the FFXV KZbin Anime. About Chapter 5, I finally watched Kingsglave. While this clarifies the story MUCH more, there were still some questions. However, needing a movie to understand the political intrigue of this world shouldn't be necessary. My recommended watch list: 1.) Watch Kingsglave. You probably won't understand it all. 2.) Watch Brotherhood for a one-up on the character's personalities. Alternatively, after every chapter, watch an episode of Brotherhood. They're about ten minutes each and you can get right back in the action. 3.) Beat the game then watch Kingsglave again. There's lots of little bits that went unnoticed, and watching the movie again, after the fact, is not only refreshing but offers nostalgia and gives closure to the series.

It's a shame though because it should be all within the game itself. According to word of god, Noctis is intentionally making due with the money he can earn so that he doesn't stand out as being too rich. He DID have some spending money with him when he left Insomnia, but that was all sunk into repairing the Regalia after it broke down in the opening. Since he learned can make money hunting and doing other stuff, he just carried on with his business.
