its looking good champ! if i had to add one thing, when welding a plate on top of another like what you did with the fysch plates, its best to paint under the surfaces with a weld through etch primer so moisture doesnt get behind and rust starts to form or leak through just a good tip! but i figured since a lot of time has passed im sure your aware of it now ahaha

Hi Sam, Why didn't you choose to use a 4wd chassis and adapt/cut it to suit the falcon? rather than build your own from scratch?

I am all for making a plan and executing that plan to achieve a fairly good result, BUT Chassis modifications will require an engineer's certificate for registration and insurance.

Loving the build mate. Is there a reason you went for a chassis from scratch over using a patrol/cruiser chassis?

Factory chassis are quite ugly and the huge travel and flex he wants with massive tires and coil overs hydro steering etc there wouldn’t be a lot left of the four wheel drive chassis. Not to mention all the stuff you’d have to cut off. Nor would it follow the shape of the bottom of the XC.

From one stupid vehicle creator to another.. you'll do well to reduce the stress concentrations by blending those sharp chassis angles, fishplate or not, those bottom welds will cop some abuse and almost certainly crack unless distributed.
