XC Trail Check: Scorpion Trail, Santa Monica CA

Checking out that Scorpion Trail Vincent kept talking about! It did not disappoint. It's a super fun flowy single track with great views. It's quite steep for the XC bike, some -30% grade, but it's super smooth. The hike out is no joke though; It's kind of a "pay at the end" situation. The trail is accessible from the Mandeville Fire Road (aka the puppy trail) and it drops toward Mandeville Canyon in Brentwood near Santa Monica. Segment map below.

Great video and edit Ben. Saw you noticed that optional drop off on the right-hand side at the end of the trail just before the woodsy section starts. You should give it a go next time its pretty fun. And ya, that climb out is a bitch tho :-/ Thanks again for the vid!
