I have a b234f in my 89 740 16-valve and I believe it's stock 3 inch piping from the headers down to the back. Sounds good enough for me, but I've always wanted to swap a 5 cyl or 6 cyl and turbo it or something for more power. As is, this thing gets sideways but can't hold much of a drift with 160 HP and an auto transmission. Restoring this beauty I bought for $1250, currently at 232k miles.

The exhaust came apart on my 1997 960 in college so I just had a random dude with a lift and welder “straight pipe” it for $40. That V6 sounded way to good! and ultimately I killed the engine whipping it down gravel roads in the mountains of North Carolina.

t5 with custom downpipe gives TWC code, you delete by a tune and get rid of rear o2 sensor, bunged up, done.

No lights.. I don’t reccomend straight piping a wagon, the cabin noise is horrendous, won’t be able to think it becomes and echo-chamber for the droning. Yes I have straight piped my XC70 before fitting custom exhaust and it sounds amazing outside but inside it is unbarably loud. But as long as you do a cat-back straight pipe it won’t set any codes because won’t be tearing out any sensors…

Those things drive over 130 mph they arent slow. And they are pretty comfortable at that speed to. Only the fuel mileage is terrible at that speed around 32liters per 100km. Probably one of the most comfortable cars to drive fast in i have ever driven, trust me im german im know what im Talking about

Elevate 3" turbo back exhaust and stage 1 tune. 300hp just like that. Myself I just did the cat back exhaust from Elevate with a K&N filter and stage 1 tune that's upped it to 240 HP. Sounds so nice and rips. Many compliments from exhaust note believe it or not
