I've had all my dolls and other toys I've collected since childhood in storage for about 4 years now and I'm finally getting them out!!!! I am extremely thankful though to have found you and your channel, it's really helped to fill the void and build my collection even more so thank you for that😂😂😂💕💕💕

Great job Brooke! I restore doll houses myself.Those pieces you were talking about flattening...you could reinforce them by gluing a piece of cardstock weight, paper on the back. Use that purple glue stick which shows complete coverage, and weight it down over night. Aquarium plants from the dollar store work great for any window boxes btw. Please, please do a video on all your Barbie furniture soon!

I have bought replacement stickers for vintage toys on line. You can try that or Nikki Thompson wrote about printing your own. I used to have this house and it bothered me when toy drawers don't open. Now to be super obsessive, I heat up an exacto knife cut out plastic drawers and make new insides so they will open...I know, sooo much time!...I gave the house away to cute kids that lived on my street. Fun stuff!

(31:20) There's like a little battery compartment on the elevator right under the little square hole, you gotta use your fingernail to get it up. IIRC It takes (2?) D batteries? I cant remember how many, but i loved that feature so much when i had this house model! They remade this house in 1998 (white), and 2000 (purple), and those had like a little pull out nob on the top where the little pointed top goes on this one to operate the elevator. One of the best dreamhouses

Love this! I have maybe 8 houses/playsets in my garage that i have yet to clean 🙈🤣 including 2 of the smaller house you showed. Right now there’s about 3 feet of snow in my yard so hopefully i will get around to this one day this summer. Target has these hand held scrub brush for $5 i just bought so that might work better. Also putting down cardboard or laying down plastic (like cut open garbage bags) to put the houses on while you clean may help!

Loved this video! Cleaning videos are some of my all time favorite doll videos, it’s just so satisfying!! Only personal kinda nit-picky critique I have is that I prefer no music in the parts that aren’t a timelapse, I just feel like it’s more satisfying without it :) plus I’ve been feeling in the spring/summer mood and love the outside setting too! nonetheless, great video!

I still have mine that’s this exact same one too!! You’re missing a ball that would go on the roof point above the elevator shaft that you would lift out and spin around to move the elevator up and down ^-^ that teal lining along the elevator windows I think is the pulley system. I’m trying to fix mine at the moment for my daughter. Unless you have the battery operated one that I didn’t know existed until now

I am wondering if a straw cleaning brush could get some of the spots a toothbrush can't reach. Like, it wouldn't be a replacement, but some of those little nooks. Maybe I'll try that when I clean out a plastic dollhouse.

i've been told a vinegar solution can help with glitter- i'm given to understand something about it is more likely to break the static cling of the glitter pieces than just soap or water. could be an old wives tale but it's a fairly neutral cleaning agent on it's own.
@kirina7895 Жыл бұрын
I had a different version but how the elevator worked was there should be a knob at the top of the spire, that pulled out, then you cranked it around. But the photos from your version it has a pointed top. I wonder if it pulled out as well? Hoped this helped.

The toothbrush really made a difference with the balcony glitter. I think someone really had fun with that dollhouse but now it'll be restored and loved forever. Its a shame someone with Photoshop can't get ahold of the original stickers and reprint them cuz they would look 10x better if you could paint it and repurpose the stickers. But for 30 years that dollhouse is in good condition for what its probably been through in storage PS i didn't know that about magic erasers. I use them to clean my desk and paint pallets.

You mentioned in one of the videos you could restore the faded colour to a pink using UV is that the hydrogen peroxide method? Would it make I go pink or lighten the plastic I’m attempting to see if I can shift some sun damage from old Barbie furniture
@xCanadensis Жыл бұрын
It corrects to the original color! It would just be an outrageous amount of peroxide to treat the big pieces of the house. Dolls would be easier. I’ll be doing it to my sun damaged dolls someday…

Currently doing this with a plastic dollhouse, I’m using a pin to scratch all the encrusted dirt out, at this point I don’t care about the scratches, this thing is just nasty
@xCanadensis6 ай бұрын
A toothbrush should be able to do the job!! Or a scrub brush for your nails :o the pin method is definitely necessary a lot of the time but gosh that’s gonna take a long time!!

I’ve rewatched the video a few times and cannot replicate this issue at all- which device are you using (headphones, TV, phone speakers etc) if you don’t mind? I’ve gotten this several times when I include background music at 60% volume and original audio at 120%. Or is it a specific moment in the video?
@rareli6394 Жыл бұрын
Hi!! I use an iPad 6th gen and an iPhone 12. I think the main section of the video which was hard to hear was near the beginning around the 1:30 part where u were farther away from the camera. Other parts of the video were fine but the music was still a bit overpowering.
