It’s so weird how $60 collector Barbies have TERRIBLE pixelated faces but $12 budget cave club dolls have smooth faces? Like it’s so confusing what’s going on behind the decision making on this technique. Mattel is so so weird nowadays. I can only hope the pixelated screenings fade away, since clearly they aren’t cheaper to make, if not cave club would definitely be pixelated. So what’s the point on them? They know Everyone hates it. I PRAY to the lords monster high 2022 have no pixels. Anyways o went on a RANT LMAO I’m sorry

I love these dolls. I think they are really original, diverse, and basically adorable. I have three of them and I'd love to have a little kid in my life that I could buy these for. I think besides being cute for adult collectors, they would be lovely little toys for small kids as well.

No... they have gills. Three on each side. They have a dorsal membrane that connects to the top and bottom of the tail. They don’t have any spikes on their entire body. Their face shape looks nothing like this and they don’t have a spike in the middle of their forehead. Their legs are almost atrophied as well so the big, thick lizard legs on this figure don’t make sense for them either. I don’t think it’s an axolotl. I think it might be a salamander of some sort (which is the type of animal an axolotl is) but it’s not an axolotl.

I have been a cave club fan since I first saw the images from Toy Fair last year! And they did not disappoint! I am looking to getting my hands on the cave tot riders... And the new rideable triceratops that comes with tella I think?! And I agree they're getting better and better! Finally Mattel is showing what they're really capable of again! I was a fan of the stop motion series that started for the first three episodes and then it got really cheesy and cheap and I stopped watching the show! And then the animated it, which actually made the show better but I don't like that they changed the characters traits. I like the original slate character better than the animated one

Lumina is gorgeous, and I actually want to get her. I still find it weird how they try to incorporate technology into the stone-ages though. It makes no sense, and is extremely inaccurate for the time period. The laptop and keytar are the most rediculous examples of technology that should not exist in the stone ages. Tella's crystal telescope is still my favorite accessory and Emberly's torch/stone club is the most historically accurate accessory in my opinion. But it is a work of fiction aimed at kids, so it seems wrong to be to harsh with the historical accuracy on it.

Wasnt luminas pet an axolotl? And it doesnt look like a normal domesticated one because thoae choose to stay pre-pubesxent but i thought this was supposed to be an axolotl that had passed pre pubescent because i think they used to be able to do it they just choose not to anymore? This is the information i got but i heard your a paleontologist so maybe you can peice it together? It didnt cross my mind that it could be a salamander. Then again the other dinos the other girls have are vwry eggadurated. I barely belive slates pet exists- XD and thesaurus is a dodo bird its a play on how they are sterotyoically dumb birds but this one is smart

Axolotls are paedomorphic salamanders- meaning salamanders that do not reach their adult stage in usual conditions (a salamander as we know them). It's not a conscious choice they make, they just will reach their adult stage in stressed environments (or sometimes at complete random). So you did get that it was a salamander! I don't think this animal looked much like an axolotl to me but, yeah, it could just be very stylized. I'm an invertebrate paleontologist so I was as far away from salamanders as I probably could be but I used to have two axolotls as pets who I loved and did a lot of research on them on my own accord.
