When something hits, cuts, slices, smashes you at a high rate of speed you honestly don’t feel any pain for about 20 seconds. Your brain is incapable of perceiving the amount of pain at an instance. Like that’s not how pain works lol. First you’re in shock, you don’t feel anything. Next you realize your situation and you can now begin to feel a tiny bit. At this point though your brain is trying it’s hardest to keep you from feeling pain, so now all your endorphins began to rush. This last for about 20 minutes. Then that’s when the actual pain starts, once that adrenaline wears off you feel it believe me lol. I’ve been through some shit, and have experienced the whole trip several times, it sucks being in that spot.

It was meant to be a fun experience that turned for the worst. But not so much. You want a bonding experience between the strongest bond; father and son. It was a near death experience that they both shared, and lived through it. They could have died. So the worst had not happened. Yet, they lived that day and created one of the most concrete memories that they will share because they lived through that by each other. Yes they suffer still because of it, but they share something that reminds each other of the day they lived together. You have to look for the good, or you'll never see the good. Man...can I just toot a little bit about the sheer size of the heart and bravery of the kid who was just damn near amputated and then the dad also ...without context you wouldn't guess that the kid damn near lost his leg and dad had his spine screwed up and whiplash from their reactions. I'm a tough one but if'n I see a child hurt let alone mine I'm not even sure I can lie about me keeping it together. Very impressive and very mature mental fortitude to those two people. Pretty sure his internal body response helped him. Something like this is so traumatic that it can cause the body to have a delayed response to pain, it’s a survival mechanism. It happened to me when I was a kid. I was going down a mountain coaster at high speed. I lost control and the go cart flipped over, sending me off the track and face first into the dirt. I didn’t register the pain from my completely skinned calf and my skinned cheek until I was almost down the slope with my dad. The kid must have felt the shock and went numb for a little bit

Anyone who’s confused, In September 2009, 12 year old Kyle wheeler and his dad Russel Wheeler. Rode the Xcelerator at Knotts Berry Farm in Buena Park. The roller coasters launch cable snapped and whipped the fibreglass causing it to smash. The cable hit Kyles left calf and flying debris hit his dad, Russels, face. Down below the ride, his mother Anita Wheeler watched on in horror. He has had multiple surgeries and physical therapy and was later able to walk again.

This is inaccurate. This does not in fact happen “way too often.” Especially compared with things such as walking, swimming, driving, and eating. You are more likely to die from any of those four things than you are from even getting HURT on a ride. So no, you are safe.
@jnutty43002 жыл бұрын
@@A-aronTI It's not inaccurate just take a look at all the accidents at these parks and fairs that's been going on.Young man just fell out of a ride and died because they let him on and they shouldn't have,young lady had her legs cut off on a ride a few years back.You see videos of rides malfunctioning and people stuck on them,hell you can look up alot of them on utube.Sure enough there are many ways to get hurt in this world or to die I don't dispute that but having a ride malfunction while I'm on it is not on my bucket list.You can't tell me that these parks are not trying to out do one another with the biggest fastest most thrill seeking rides.You can die all kinds of ways that's common knowledge but I'll take my chances walking etc,the young man is this particular video was extremely lucky that cable didn't sever his leg or kill him,how many dangerous snapping cables come your way while walking etc.Its a matter of preference to enjoy these parks and to each his own, about 10 people die a year from these fair and amusement park rides.Then you have thousands a year that get injured for my preference that is to often.A 14 year old just recently died in Orlando on a free fall ride when the locking mechanism malfunctioned and he fell to his death.

Adrenaline is a hell of a thing. He was so shocked from what happened that his body ignored the pain.
@ChristopherGray002 жыл бұрын
actually its a huge misnomer that adrenaline prevents pain, it doesn't prevent pain, it has no mechanism of action towards any type of pain receptors and infact adrenaline can INCREASE the perception of pain due to neural excitation and increased firing of neurons, pain just takes time to set in full force, especially with deep wounds. extremity pain is near instant but muscle lacerations, organ damage, etc, that pain is going to set in about 10-15 seconds after. you're not gonna feel shit from that instantly.

I’m pretty sure he felt the pain. The reason you may not notice it for about 10-15 seconds is because the feeling is so foreign and you’ve never felt it before and the chaos of it all, but it’s a myth that you literally don’t feel it.

@ChristopherGray00 Жыл бұрын
@@ttt69420 That is false, it literally does not interact with any pain receptor, and does not have any evidence for pain reduction, not sure what you're talking about when you say "well documented". It stimulates alpha and beta adrenergic receptors, which have nothing to do with pain, and that's it. You must be confusing endorphins, which are released during the same time, in a severe injury, with adrenaline and correlating it to adrenaline, endorphins are endogenous opioids for the reduction of pain.
