I think it's not for the process of BTS they used the fragments from the past which is there debut to connect here in the present. They did not planed this. They just came up with the ideas to kind of make it bigger when BTS is going bigger as well

@@cyhri2567 so the fact the sample they had used for the debut trailer was from an intro to Epik High's 1st album called "Map of the Human Soul" has no connection to that sample being used again in their own era of Map of the Soul? The way they timed it out going back in time by album so Persona used a sample from School Luv Affair and Shadow using sample from ORUL82? and now Ego using sample from debut trailer. It couldn't be coincidence and we know with BigHit, it never is. Just surprising they had it all planned out from before the debut of BTS even.

I'm curious if this also has a meaning, maybe that the shadow is always here and now he's accepted him and is presenting him to the world.. also, the suit Hobi is wearing in the Kingsman set, reminds me of the shattering glass in Shadow, so he's literally wearing his shadow on his sleeves now, he really accepted himself fully... crazy how much there is hidden for us to find out

We also saw the god theme at MMA 2019, where each member represented a god in his solo: Jimin was Artemis, Joon was Dionysus, Jin was Aries, Tae was Apollo, Kook was Poseiden, Yoongi was Hades, and Hobi was Zeus. The image of him as Jupiter/Zeus could be referencing that

Also, when Hobi is dancing in the literal spotlight, he has shadows. But of course they follow him, not trying to overcome him or take over control. **I think part of this is because he’s close to his shadow, it’s not far away. It’s not trying to control him, because he is not trying to control (force) it. Keeping the shadow close means that it is less nebulous and has defined edges/borders. Kinda “know thine enemy” approach. However boundaries and awareness of them is essential for relationships - with the shadow, ego, etc. as well as with others. Again a part of the person that needs to be defined/developed before relating to others. Also, while he is on a stage like SUGA, he’s viewed at ground level. He hasn’t climbed so high to fall, he doesn’t have shadows underneath to drag him under into the Sea. I think he’s at that camera level the entire time until the end which you could argue he IS still like that, but he is on top of a car, so... Just a couple thoughts to add. Hope I didn’t forget anything in my explanation!

ONE MORE THEORY! to me, the "we are now going to progress [...]" part is SO interesting because it first appear on their debut trailer, right? so the "difficult part" was the unknown ahead of them. were they gonna succeed? were they gonna fail? so now (2020), the same part can be interpreted as some kind of warning for us, army, as they prepare for break/military service because is gonna be difficult but we'll manage to get through it. and since Ego is an Outro for the album, this is most likely the last song of the last album before break (my guess, of course). so it's kinda like "we're approaching the inevitable, it's going to be hard, but it's going to be okay too. don't worry!". so, to me it sounded like mix between a farewell (for now), a hidden message for us and a full circle moment in their careers because they did succeed, they did not fail. if you really think about it, this song has such a positive message behind it, an amazing vibe to it and all these references in the music video, that it ends up being the PERFECT song to close the map of the soul era and set up the next one (where we're a bit more grown up, self-aware, embracing light and dark, continuously learning/evolving and having more of a positive attitude towards life).

So at the end when he says " I found myself" he was talking about the Principal of Individuation through the ego( through embracing the shadows/his past since he can not change it even if he tries to, which is probably why he talks about accepting his fate) and the emergence of the Self. ? Maybe your guess that after mots era it will be the Self era is a true one.

about 1:24 i think the 1 and 24 are supposed to be seen separately: 1 meaning: if 1 is your angel number, it means that you are a workaholic person, so your satisfaction comes mostly from your work. 24 meaning: the number 24 symbolises home, health, healing, security, love, beauty, comfort, relationships, teamwork, romance, diplomacy, harmony, family and companionship. so it could mean he's moved from being a uncaring workaholic to going on to heal, love, feel secure, appreciate beauty, home, comfort, teamwork (bts?), family and companionship.

Im a new army and I'm trying to understand all this theories. I started to watch the first video that uploaded and continuing the second part of the video( i forgot the title, sorry) and then i came to watch this video and all i can say is " Damn!". The fire on the building on 8:00 is yoongi's room on fire, the next room is Jin's which is when he had that violet flower near he's shoulder and the room at the left side is I think is run away when yeonjun is doing that sorcery red light magic circle and the blue room is the room where is the pool(?) Hi Rosean, I always love your explanation vids - only been Army since last summer, so have really relied on them to try & get up to speed on the BU! (I haven't watched any TXT vids yet tho - aargh!) Just wondered what you thought of why, when the whole song has been upbeat & bright, when Hobi's sitting on the car he's suddenly very serious and his face is half in shadow & half in light? Does that mean despite the lyrics, his journey to self isn't over? I'm also expecting MOTS: Self before Jin goes, but maybe that's wishful thinking?
