XCOM 2 OST- Squad Loadout (EXTENDED)

An extension of Squad Loadout from the official XCOM 2 OST, also known as Ready for Battle
As usual, there are a few skips or such in the audio as I'm not exactly good at audio editing, but its bearable... at least for me.
And, obviously, this music isn't my product, it was made by Timothy Wynn. All I did was some amateur editing. That said, use it if you like, not like I can tell you not to. No intention to copy your music 2K, you legends.

Comparing this one to the loadout music in Enemy Unknown, I feel like there's huge sense of pride and hope in this one. Like all the soldiers know they're all that's left of true humanity and they aren't going down without a fight

The one in Enemy Unknown was great, but in comparison, this is just another level. Not that this is the only thing I love about XCOM 2, but this loadout music might as well be the thing that will bring me back to the game for my third playthrough (which will eventually get me stuck somewhere down the line as the first two did, but who plays XCOM to win anyway?).

Given that XCOM 2 has you as the final, absolute last chance against the Aliens, instilling a sense of pride and bravery through music seems quite fitting. They are a justified "Terror" group, but they are pinpoint to the point of barely scratching, if even inconveniencing, the regular humans. I love this soundtrack. It makes you feel connected to your soldiers. That you are genuinely proud of who they are and who they have become. Of course you also get to do a bit of self-insert if you are comfortable risking your own neck in combat missions. On that note I happened to finish Legendary Ironman without a single death in the base game once. Not ONE soldier died through the entire game. Final squad consisting of Me, my father, my two brothers and a couple others. Shameless self insert saving the entire world.. but mostly proud of the achievement of not losing a single soldier. The loadout song never failing to motivate me every time to see everyone returning.

Ive been saying this myself. Both games caught the vibe of the situation. In xcom 2 there is indeed a hopful tone to the deployment music. Its like the music is telling you the aliens will be beated. In eu since the aliens are still invading there is a sort of determination vibe going on mixed with xfiles.

XCOM UE/EW music is more spooky and atosmpeheric, with a sense of fighting a war with an "unknown enemy", XCOM 2 music is more along the line of taking back the planet, gung ho and all that. (has any one seen my sweeter?)

Yup and then something like this happens: You, as a die hard stargate fan create the SG1 team, complete with Teal'c, Daniel, Sam and Jack (and some nobody grenadier, who actually had really good aim and always good chances). You move in the mission and after meeting and killing the first 2 aliens, the rest of the 2 alien groups you (unlucky as you are) discovered at the same time, shoot and O'Neill dies. But then, the funny thing happens: As a Stargate Fan, you know, that there sometimes are those shipping scenes with Jack and Sam. So my O'Neill dies, because a stun lancer shot him and then FROM ALL MY SQUADMEMBERS my Specialist Samantha Carter gets panicked. I cried, when my O'Neill died, but laughed my ass off when Sam went into panic-mode, because THIS WAS JUST MEANT TO BE! And the best thing: I recorded all of it. Even my shitty laughter after Sam's panic-mode.

When X-Com released it felt amazing whenever you launched a mission - the music was and still is awesome. I never imagined this could be topped... until X-Com 2 released. This theme here just rocks. And they did a mighty good job reviving the old "interception" theme in the Legacy pack for War of the Chosen. The only one I'm not too happy with is Chimera Squad.

I cant get enough of XCOM 2. It takes all the best from XCOM 1 and fixes things that were lacking (like constant equipment changing between units) and perfects it. I can't think of a single negative thing about this title

@@mannofdober873 By pod order without mods, you can't get 2 sectopods in a single mission. But its true you can get a pod with an andromedon , a sectopod and an archon on vainilla. That was lated fixed in WoTC where pod logic always throw advent mec or soilders with a sectopod or an andromedon. Codex or priest with a gatekeeper.
