Rulers in Wotc won’t ever do a ruler react if it cant see the unit doing an action. Meaning you should keep a specialist back so you can revival, heal, and aid your other members while they engage the rulers. Ruler actions: Some out of sight action trigger the rulers reaction. Typically actions that can be done via squatsight, such as sniper shots or combat protocol. Rulers can be hit with a poison or fire and take the damage for every ruler action individually. In non-wotc, each tick can trigger a repeater, if the status effect was applied via ammunition and the weapon had a repeater. Andromidons are both organic and inorganic. Meaning you can both hack and mind control them. Hack the second form. Mind control the first. If the first form dies it breaks mind control and becomes an enemy again. Stun lancers are hard countered by lost. They’ll always go for the stab, which is not a headshot and leaves them standing in the open regardless of a kill or not. In general melee attacks (unless with Reaper ability) will not trigger the headshot mechanic. Some enemies can actually see you farther than they appear (19tiles vs. 17tiles xcom) and won’t move forward. Very apparent on gatecrasher. Occasionally a pod will be right on the edge of anyones line of sight and they’ll just stop and refuse to walk into your overwatch. dark lance is great for death from above - but sometimes you cannot guarantee a kill in one shot - use your other members to take enough points off each enemy that dark lance will for sure kill in one shot - then this basically leads to a dark lance clean up at the end of the round. Additionally, there is an interaction with Implacable for repositioning options. A muton can counter bladestorm attacks that occur during an xcom turn. Specifically, if you activate a pod with a melee attack or just double move up to them and plan on getting multiple bladestorms, a scattering muton can counter under these circumstances. Mutons Counterstrike ability (66%) is countered by flashbangs. If you destroy the roof it is on, a turret dies, no matter how much damage it took. Unless it is a train, in which case the frame is indistructable terrain and can lead to towers "floating" in the air. Gatekeepers can reanimate fallen losts into normal (very dangerous zombies).

This is helping me a lot to refresh what I learnt from Royal Rumble etc and learn lots of new stuff for my current Legendary run. Got a good flow going and these guides are perfect!!

There are so many little things about this game that you are bound to forget some of them if you don't play the game for a while.. Those videos really help to remember them over. On a side note, in the first episode of the no shots challenge, I've enlisted as a soldier, but never actually appeared in any series after, which makes me wonder if I'm just unlucky or if I've been kidnapped.by an advent medical center and would be glad if you checked it out.

All of the soldiers are in the pool, so I guess it is very unlucky at this point :( In the upcoming long war, we are very likely going deep into the pool, so hopefully you will find your character in that run :)

That is a quite ungrateful comment. I put all of the tips in the comment below, numbered and easy to consume if you prefer reading them. KZbin as a platform does not like numbered videos for your info. And assuming that anything is minimum effort does not sit very well with me.
