To answer your question, no. No the petition isn’t working. This is just UbiSoft’s equivalent of an “Everything Must Go!” fire sale where they take all the bits and pieces they had lying around, cobbled them together into a single package, and sent it out the door. TBH, if the PREVIOUS seasons had been this content-rich, the whole outcome might have been very different. 3 new factions and 13 new maps in a single season is impressive, to say the least. But the only reason Season 3 has so much stuff is BECAUSE XD is shutting down. If it wasn’t, it would have taken us close to *two full years* to see all this content. 3 factions and 13 maps in Season 3 is wild. 3 factions and 13 maps spread out over Seasons 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 is pretty anemic, which was part of the problem.

But getting people to link something in the description or talk about something is straight up painful just because most people would rather make a really performative rant video about a given topic and then just not post a link to anything... A lot of people chipped in money on the petition but all that does is get the petition on the front page of Change's site... which it doesn't even look like it's on the front page after all the money that's been dropped on it. So unless you manage to get other people in the scene to get hop in on the petition and constantly shill it in their videos, not enough eyes are going to see it unfortunately. You do have really good momentum on the petition, all things considered. So what I'm saying is not impossible. It's not like the developers can share the petition because they're probably under some weird company clause that just won't let them do that.... But when content is slow to release, player numbers gone go down. Xdefient is fun to play, but there's no strategy like Siege. It's like COD, run and gun. It's great to shut down your brain, but it gets stale. I jump on Xdefient for one week, then get bored. Because there's no communication. Then play some Siege, get some children or russian screaming in mikes. Some good players that communicate. That's more fun than run and gun games.

I’ll never forget xdefiant imo this huge content drop half of it is what should be the seasonal requirement moving forward at the start of the season some maps should get vaulted that way they don’t over saturate the playlist and bring in 3-4 maps at the start of the season along with new faction and guns , the netcode plagued it and with no progression is what made me drop the game but ngl I don’t want it to be shut down I’ve been playing other games and was always hoping this game got it together at some point so I could come back

I think they should just go through with the shutdown and let XDefiant die. As i see it, XDefiant simply has too many issues that make it unsalvageable. XDefiant's biggest failure is that it ultimately isn't casual friendly. And with the way it's setup, i don't think it'll be easy to implement the fixes to the game to get it where it needs to be in that regard. Which is why i think they should just scrap it and work on XDefiant 2. New engine, new core gameplay foundation, new structure for customizations and cosmetics, new types of content that allows casual players to have a break from PvP. I think there is potential for a game like XDefiant to be massively successful, but i don't think XDefiant can ever achieve that success without a massive overhaul.

I loved XD but it did so many little things wrong. Like Phantoms having 10-20% more hp than everyone else, Cleaners doing extra damage, annoying abilities like that damn spider drone, terrible character designs that look like they were made by ai, even worse skins for said characters, and even the fact that it was a pseudo hero shooter held it back tremendously. It was a fun game and I really did love it but with all the minor grievances people had and Ubisofts track record of shutting down all their random ftp games I think it’s safe to say that everyone knew this was what the outcome was going to be. RIP XDefiant. If only you weren’t a Ubisoft game…

After XD did die, i tried bo6 because i have it in gamepass, so i tought why not giving it a try, if i dont have to pay extra money for it...long term short, its the biggest piece of shi... i did ever play, the operators look like homeless npcs from gta, they look like drug addicted, nuketown has a bug where you Literally have a wallhack trough a bus or whatever this invisible things is. Ubisoft is dead to me. I don't know if I can touch another one of their games after this one. This is the only Ubisoft title I've even tried in forever and this is what happens. I am very excited to play the S3 content though.
