TDM coming to this game Friday is hopefully going to help mitigate one of my biggest issues with the game: No one wants to play the objective. Let the people who treat matches as extended TDM have their mode.

My team runs our score to 90 percent done, then we farm and farm kills, allowing the enemy to have the objective score until they believe they have a chance. After 20 or 30 people dropping out and coming in, the 80+ kills a game are tasty.

Then I started recording some footage just to look back and see that I really just didn't hit that guy. Hitreg is terrible, mouse and keyboard is treated like an unwanted child, the ui is a labyrinth, maps need some variety cause with the current ones I could plan a better map in 15 minutes. Those are things that are objective and therefore should be improved and if they're to be improved they need to be talked about.

I love XD and just finished the battlepass and now I'm taking a break to actually play and finishing other games before the arrival of season 1 and I'm grinding the attachments first and then I'll think about going for the mastery camos but simply no rush for the moment and I'm an objective player and i don't care about my KD anymore but I'm loving the living shit out of Hot Shot mode because is basically Kill Confirmed meets Crank from COD.

I am trash at tracking in this game but I’ve slowly improved despite it. I play the objective as a priority, improving my aim as I go. I remember first playing Elden Ring, which was my first "Souls-like". Early on it was SO frustrating. I was close to quitting, but then I figured out what the game was asking of me, and I learned how to actually play the game. It's such a well-designed game that when I first killed Margit, I almost spiked my controller and yelled "Fuck yeah, bitch!!", as it was so rewarding as I simply couldn't no-brain button mash my way to the win. I had to git gud, and that felt awesome. Getting better at XDefiant gives me a bit of that sense of accomplishment as SBMM isn't' keeping my mid-tier thumbs ass in the scrub lobbies. Good luck on getting that gold.

I just hope JP is right and TDM and couple other modes are being put in. Least in TDM i don't have to worry about randoms playing the obj. I understand that given how there's no sbmm it's gonna happen. But when it happens in so many lobbies within 10-15 matches it gets pretty damn annoying when the team you're playing against is not only doing the obj but they have a couple people who're high lvl and kill you in a couple hits and you're still stuck at a point where you have to unload a half a clips worth of hit-markers into them assuming your shots are registering at all.

I love this game! My biggest issue with it, and this is going to be fixed over time, is the netcode and the hit reg. One game will feel so crispy, and the next will feel like a slush box, and I’m on wired connection. Other than that it’s nearly perfect, and once those issues are fixed it’ll be a phenomenal game!

I have noticed that the division between "sweats" and "noobs" is becoming less clear as both sides pick up cheats and practically waste all of their time playing a game they'll never get good at, only to stumble into the next hot thing and collectively melt down without the secret program backdoor which enabled COD to become what it is today: a nostalgia trap + a hormone pump. XDefiant unfortunately relies on trends set by a concurrently-successful genre-adjacent game, unable to really capture the spirit of a dedicated "Call of Duty throwback" - to me, the game screams legally-distinct Chinese Call of Duty with Fortnite body proportions and Disney-esque animation flavors.

X has been fun as shit solo and in a party. I can stomp lobbies out, I can get stomed out, matches can be so close it feels like both sides are playing for money. You get everything, when they release ranked it's only gonna get better.

since im mostly playing casualy ( or trying to ) my K/D usuly is something like 1 kill 30 deaths ( usualy told to uninstall the game and other insults ) BUT just because i won't jump shoot / bunny hop and my shots don't hit be it from my aim or the Netcode dosn't mean i won't try to play the objective im ALWAYS the top of the leader board for the entire lobby for BOTH teams when it comes to Objective score i just wish i would get more weapon exp for playing the objective kills are not the be all end all cause i would love to get more attchments for the guns ( could care less for mastery right now ) as im experimenting to find the right attachments for my play-style ( playing meta and only meta is BORING ) and getting those attachments in the first place is a slogging grind specially for the weapons that are worst with no attachments its why i only really play during the 2x events the only other reason i would play more is to do the battle pass but i finished that weeks ago so far i have all the attachments for all Secondaries 1 Assult rifle ( the AK -47 ) 1 SMG ( p-90 ) 1 LMG ( M249 ) & 1 Shotgun ( Double barrel ) next 2x event working on marksman and sniper so i have at least one of each category with all attachments

Someone posted on reddit complaining that “XD takes no skill. All it is is abusing movement vs old school cod map knowledge and aiming” or some asinine thing. I agree mostly. I’m a ranked focused player tho, so ranked is where I’m worried about wins and pubs is where I try to beat my kill record. I’ll hop on obj if I’m doing bad or if I’m doing good and my team isn’t getting it done. But mainly pubs is for high kills. especially with the lack of sbmm. I beat my kill record today, active camo with mp7 on arena, 84 kills. I had the least obj but we won so I wasn’t too worried. I was hoping my team would stop playing obj so I could get the 100 bomb lol. A man can dream

some people thought the COD camo grind was long and too challenging, XDefiants camo grind required more than 6x more kills BEFORE the recent change so now its between 10x and 12x more kills. glad i got most every bad weapon done before the change lol

I just started playing today. Got my P90 as good as it can get as far as attachments go. Also unlocked the AA-12 so now I'll work on unlocking those attachments. I mainly focus on objectives so I've been racking in some decent XP. The game feels pretty good so far so I didn't mind spending a few bucks on the basic founders pack and an M4A1 skin.

nothing comes close to seeing yourself getting better and better at something that makes most people cry and whine. first 10 hours were though, but once I found the right settings and got used to the classes, the movement and guns, it was a steady climb. Went from an initial 0.8 KD to now a 1.2 with most of the latest games ending between a 2 and 3KD. and I still find myself in lobbies where i'm like the 3rd or even 4th best player when the actually 'good' players show up. yes this is still frustrating at times, hit registering still neds to improve and so many can escape a deadly shot by jumping and getting shot to the legs instead (genuinely hate that, should be penalised), but THIS. IS. WHAT. BALANCE. MEANS. I played a game in Resurgence the other day with some friends after we won 2 matches back to back last week. first 3 games we had a collective 2 kills with all of us having thousands of damage. people would NEVER go down. just play one game in cod to remind yourself why xdefiant is shining so hard.

Like, shitty hit registration side that I know they're working on to fix, when I was getting my ass kicked when I first started playing this game, I asked myself wtf was I doing wrong. I realized that my tactics were rush in, try to kill everything on screen, rush back out. That is a habit I picked up playing COD. Since then I've slowed my gameplay down and try to get into my enemy's head and more often than not I'm able to beat them to the punch and deny them their objective. I even spent time constantly tweaking my aiming settings to the point where the last tweak I made was a night and day difference on how much more accurate I was than when I started playing this game. It does wonders for yourself when you spend time asking "what am I doing wrong" instead of blaming it on the game. The game is what it is and will be what it is. Changes aren't always going to be perfect but it's also not always the game or the decisions the devs make that explain why you're literally having skill issues. This game has forced me to look at myself and improve my skills rather than waiting for an algorithm to feel sorry for me and make my competition easier. It's like my career. I'd rather be told that I need to improve and spend time learning what it is I'm doing that'll help me in the future than to be handheld and given the solutions to all my problems and not know shit about fuck 15 years into it.

As a high skill halo player I can tell you the only reason kills don’t matter for a win in this game is respawn time. Halo has a 10 second respawn time and if your team is even just a few kill positive you’re going to win. It’s rare for a team going negative to win in halo. I’m not saying there should be a respawn timer in x at all. I’m just saying that is probably the sole reason you can win in x while the whole team is negative

in occupy i believe the spawns are teammate based. almost certain. if 3 people are dead on a team they will respawn nest to the closest teammate to the point (unless your way to close to the point)

I always thumbs up the bottom player on the team. Gives me xp and sometimes inspires other to give thumbs up to the other players in the lobby. The camo grind I wish they would have left it as it was and instead gave gun xp for playing objectives. Would have helped speed up progression on the weapons and incentives objective play. They also need to get team death match out so morons like the 116 kill guy can just go kill and actually help his team.

I love Xdefiant . Im that 3 and 33 type guys 😂 . I’ll have the highest objective score at the end lol .I haven’t played my ps5 much at all the last couple of years . Now it’s been game on . I’m a battle field player and I’m always objective first . I’m team first . But this game as been a true fun experience. I hope Ubisoft continues to support this game . I love when I get stomped because I learn and when I do the stomping I still learn . The game is far from perfect but it is the most fun I have had in a long ass time . I hope the next battlefield takes notes .

I was wondering if anybody has run into the issue lately. I can constantly get 10 win streaks with a high KD. When I attempt to go multiple win streaks. I find myself getting into losing lobbies where the match has already started and I’m joining mid match after 3-4 wins in a row. The team only has 3 players. So the whole match I have to sweat my ass to help turn it around. It feels like an uphill battle. I’ve had this to me multiple times after 4 wins. Is this just bad luck or the fact that there’s no sbmm

Really refreshing seeing the XD community actually engaging and making people accountable. Who knows about BlOps 6 though. To me it seems like a CW that just barely distinguishes itself. More work than MWIII from what I see, but the SBMM and always online (brought to you by Activision's unstable networks) just reeks of half-baked. It's like someone making you a half-decent steak where they spit on it when you're not looking.

I will admit I am not super great at this game and if I am being honest, I think cod's matchmaking made me worse over the years, I do genuinely believe that because I used to pub stomp from like Cod AW to like Bo4 and then again in cold war. But, regardless I still love the game and I will still continue to play and so far I feel like I've gotten somewhat better since the game came out and hope to improve even more. (But of course taking a bit of a break to play Shadow of the Erdtree)
