I don't think anyone's being paid by the company and I dislike the game. I just think it's a less interesting version of Call of Duty with just as many problems if not more. I get why people enjoy the game though. Just not for me. I prefer having SBMM because I'm awful at shooters. I'm losing 90%+ of my games and my teammates were constantly messaging me/screaming at me to play better. Since they were on an entirely separate skill level to me, I felt like I couldn't have a good time especially due to all the trash talk against me by my own team. In the games where I wasn't being talked down to, I felt bad because I knew I was making my team lose and could provide very little help. I think I may have had 2 or 3 positive games and the other 100 were 0.5 and below. I honestly find the XDefiant defender crowd to be just as annoying as the hating crowd.

I think my only major complaint right now is it feels like the cheat prevention and detection is crumbling. I just had a hame a couple hours ago with a person by the ign of DMA.40 who was literally flying across the map aim hacking. I reported him but I have no clue if anything will be done about it with no form of feedback report. He could still be in games terrorizing other people. It really takes the game away from the 11 other people in the lobby if one person is hacking their ass off like that, since the enemy team doesn't get to exist on the map and the rest of their team may as well not be there since they don't get to do anything.

One of the biggest reasons I quit COD was because I was getting tired of playing objective based game modes and running in point b or c and clearing out like 4 people to die to the fifth only to watch my teammates mount on head glitches or lay on the ground on a snipe spot close to our spawn while I run back in to the point to clear out half the team only to die again and then watch my teammates sitting in the same spot the last time I spawned. Same with hardpoint. I love hardpoint maybe my favorite mode to play but man It fucking sucks when you get a team of people that are playing like it's hardcore TDM. I finally got around to playing XDefiant today, and I haven't touched CoD and played it seriously since 2017, and I have to be honest with myself. I had a fun time playing the game. I agree that the weapon leveling is really slow and could be much faster, and that it's insanely annoying when teammates don't play OBJ. Other than that, I had a great time. Unfortunately, some of my friends can't play this game or aren't playing it at all. So I'm kinda stuck to playing by myself. I consider myself as a CoD hater. I haven't had the feeling of wanting to play it in over half a decade. So I'm kinda glad I have an FPS game I don't mind wanting to play more of. I hope the future of this game is great.

Even in modes like Occupy, it's common to see only 2-3 players attempting to capture the zone while others prioritize achieving a high 4.5 K/D Ratio. Unfortunately, this approach often leads to defeat. In a game of Escort on the Showdown map, an amusement park-themed one, I encountered someone urging the team to reach the robot, yet we still lost. Upon checking the leaderboard at the end, I noticed they had accumulated 58 kills and 12 deaths but only scored 200 points for the objective. In contrast, I may have had fewer kills, around 20-30, but I actively contributed by advancing towards the objective, utilizing my abilities and grenades to support the team. I think a great way to incentivize Obj play is that 2000xp you get for a win applies to all your weapons. That way, they don't have to tone down the current xp to level a gun because you can level all of them at once, but only if you win.

Really love your videos, mate.. What I really notice in XDefiant is that the game doesn't reward objective-focused players much.. Sometimes I match-best games regarding objectives, but those with higher kills always end up being at the top of the leader board. On the other side, I remember playing Battlefield 1 and be at the top for being good playing objective-focused even when my K/D is not that good.

You briefly touched on something I think is downright depressing about how COD's yearly cycle has destroyed the legs/lifespan of countless amazing CODs, literally some of the greatest shooters ever. My favorite COD montage is a PC promod montage Mazarini and paradox : Play With Soul from 2010. I watch it now and think about how vastly superior that gameplay looks to any CounterStrike, Valorant, Siege, or any current popular shooter on the market. The foundations of the "vintage" CODs far exceeds that of almost any shooter game ever made (COD4 for example is mechanically leagues above that of CounterStrike, CS is a barebones game from the late 90s basically), and in an alternate reality, maybe those games have some seasonal awards, competitive playlists, etc.. whatever it takes to keep large playerbase around for years like CounterStrike has done, because we have effectively lost some of the best multiplayer games ever made to time.....But back to xDefiant...if it can stay around for years and doesn't mess anything up, we might have gotten the next best thing.

I find escort is the only mode where anyone pays attention to the objective, I guess due to the design of the mode it's basically impossible to ignore it.

in the newer modern warfare 2 something I noticed was when you capped a flag that xp counted towards your weapon leveling and that definitely motivated me to cap more flags

Dipping back into CoD here & there the past few years I thought I was rusty at first but I always played like trash; but after a few rounds of XDefiant, a few early wins, it felt like all of my old MWoriginal & classic Black Ops skills were reawakened. I'm a big fan of XDefiant!

I want to love this game. Really do. Love the concept. I am in the unlucky population that 7/10 of my games are filled with poor hit detection, dying around corners, or literally getting hitmarkers on people that don't seem to register any damage. It makes gunfights in most of my games feel like an absolute toss up at all times. Been playing FPS games since COD4 and a consistent 2 k/d player across all titles, before I get riddled with "skill issue" comments. Hopeful when the netcode updates come, that I can enjoy this title.

I am very grateful to xdefiant for being a game that brought back something that already established games like COD or Fortnite for some reason ruined, and it is an online experience with pure random players, no bots, no sbmm, none of those things that they implement to Give yourself points for participating, this experience is pure and tough. Even if they ruin it in the future, at least for a while we had fresh air with a popular game that had decent online.

To touch on the objective double EXP, maybe just have it so while you are in the objective, double EXP is active until you leave the zone, that would be awesome!

A couple of things, for me issues with the hit rez happens way too often and it is extremely frustrating but besides that, I think a 25% increase on weapon xp for kills as default plus bonus as you stated would make the grind a bit better. I know you said that you're not getting into weapon balancing but the shotguns are dog water, one thing COD does right is that if one pellet from the shotgun hits, a base damage is applied, and then each additional pellet adds to the damage. In X it doesn't seem like that same mechanic is there and I think it would improve the Shotguns a lot.

It blows my mind how many people ignore the objective. Even in Hot Shot people just run straight past bounties. Like there's literally this big floating icon and they run right past it. It's wild man.

Been loving XDefiant and the only issues are some balancing changes (snipers should not be able to keep you held at spawn for the entire match, or kill in you in the foot) and of course the hit registration. I'm hoping they get something for incentives for playing objective because I do my best to cover for those and push when I'm the last one. I like my one man army playstyle on objectives, like those epic fight scenarios.

Hahaha I knew exactly what you were gonna say when you said "I'll tell you what they paid me... *Dramatic pause*. The game is fun. I'm still only level 8 but I've gone from being the worst player every game to being around the middle of the scoreboard and actually going positive on some matches. I obviously have tons to improve on but that's a good thing. Thankfully I'm still playing matches where people play the objective. Which is so refreshing to see. So I'm not thrilled to hear cod-brained players are coming over to the game and playing it like it's COD. I agree with your suggestions for the game. I think you should tweet them at Xdefiant devs cause it seems like they're actually listening. I'm pretty sure faster weapon leveling is already coming with the next season. I truly think the game is gonna keep getting better and I actually feel excited about an fps game for the first time in a few years.

I'm actually pretty successful with with the pump, not pub stomping level, because I am shit myself (but I'm improving slowly), but hey, if you feel better with a different gun, that's great, go out there and get those kills and objectives cleared.

I solo queue as well. I’ve noticed that the majority of my matches begin with my team only having 5 players while the other team has 6. And we will usually end the game with 4 or less. And of course I get the players who think playing OBJ will give you Aids.

XD is mid just a fact. Could be a lot better if they actually fix the hit reg and netcode like they said they are, if they put in better modes especially an elimination mode. The aim / recoil is off on controller, I’ve heard it feel off on MnK to but idk. Just feels cheap

12:28 B objective is the worst on this map, you need people to clean right or left flank to cap or just try to kill all of them.

Shotguns needs a choke/barrel extender + anything tightening hipfire to make it tolerable. The rest is just closing the distance. Anything beyond 15 meters tickles with the three shotguns will either whiff or tickle. Even with the attachments mentioned.
