Nice to see a master mechanic at work. Great fabrication and solution for the license plate mount there. Also I never would have thought that just a seat cover could make that much difference to the appearance of a motorcycle. Can't wait to see the rest of this build out. That seat looks amazing. Love the stitching. The bike looks nice now what's next? You should have your Dad come and visit when the bike is ready to be given away. Customizing a bike is bolting, replacing, and removing stuff off. It doesn't matter whether you make your own custom stuff. Custom means not stock. Don't fret on those confused haters. The bike is looking good. Your dad cracks me up. Here in middle TN we have had so much rain the last few weeks that we have been under dangerous flood advisories numerous times. Out of 4 possible ways for me to get into town, all but one are under water in some part of the road..People have been kayaking in parks in town. But hey, at least it an't PA snow, y'all. Hahaha

Seat looks awesome....in most states what you did with the license plate is illegal as all hell....you have to have a white light on the plate, it would get you pulled immediately here in NC (I got pulled 3 times in a week on my CBR back in the day for not having a white light on it, so I jury rigged a dome light out of a bronco on there..LOLZ). LOVE the way this beast is turning out!! I personally wouldnt be messing with the tank though...

Like if you are enjoying Game of Thrones seasons 1 - 6 and then season 7 takes place in a different world with different characters, you'd be a little put off. My 2 cents.

This is your best set up so far for me, also got and Xdiavel S and was a bit boring with it but after this series I want to make it bad ass as well, I got the Puig windshield and some evotech sliders, check them out it looks great and the ride is improve a lot, the wind on this bike made it really uncomfortable, also suspension set up is crucial, the bike is too stiff in the back. And Jaret so jealous about you in sunny california, If I were there will never got down from the bike.

haha yeah the suspension is def too stiff from the factory...it has loosened up over time but I think we'll try to set it up for the next rider if possible. And glad you're enjoying the series man! The xdiavel is such an awesome platform for customization

How do you like that bike? Was thinking about getting one. I sat on one at a local Yamaha shop. It felt small to me (I'm 6'2" and 220 lbs.) but it might have been due to having not much between you and the road.

RideByNight Yeah it’s a great bike! Between the XSR900 and MT09 the XSR is better suited to taller riders. I’m 5’9” and it feels just about right if a little large for me. The engine is amazing though.

If you ca, do it! I couldn't test ride before I bought but just watched tons of reviews and read lots of articles. It was between a '17 or '18 MT07, '18 MT09, or possibly even an Z900RS which is also a sweet bike. I think I made the right decision for me as I wanted more performance and a lighter wight bike, but that Kawasaki is pretty sweet too! XSR900 insurance was less than half of an MT09.. that made up my mind for me!
