Well, in my experience with both the Note 8 and Razer phone, the Razer has consistently kept it's battery all day whereas the Note needed charging twice. So I don't really know what to make of this video, because in my case it's totally inaccurate.

*Bottom line:* Use your brain. No one uses their phone 7 hours straight. This is a drain test not a general use test. More than 60% of a normal users battery goes to standby drain when you have applications running in the background with the screen off. You have to account for that. Especially when you're out using mobile data. By having a large battery you ensure that you can have your phone in your pocket getting notifications/updates and not worry that it will die. That's why battery usage varies from user to user. Someone people are out all the time with Data turned on and some phones are bad at that. At the same time, that very same phone could be great with just wifi on while you're at home. This test only serves to test a phone's battery using wifi in continuous succession (you would probably be at home. Unless you enjoy sitting in Starbucks for 6 hours straight or something). But since you don't know the battery drain percentage of the phones or how much they perform with mobile data on you can't know for sure which phone has the best battery IN GENERAL, which is the only thing that really counts since your phone is supposed to be with you all the time not sitting at home like a glorified wifi only Ipad.

KaizerFaith There may be several factors to it. But my comment is for the extreme test conducted in this video. General usage wud vary from person to person. A 4000mah battery may last 2 days for some, while it returns me 12 hrs.

The thing is, all the Android phones drain battery consistently while on standby. You won't normally use a phone for 6-8 hours straight. iOS normally has very good standby times with only dropping 1-2% overnight. Android phones typically drain anywhere from 10-30% overnight. You will have to charge your iPhone less often unless you're constantly on your phone. I hope this comment makes sense to people.

Stop putting all the phones on full brightness that's just stupid! All phones have different brightness levels at maximum. Try adjusting the brightness according to the nits then the comparison would be fair. The Razer phone looks so dull compared to all others. Note 8 is the brightest.. Edit: while we're at it, please keep same wallpaper on all phones if possible so we can see how every phone handles the colours and brightness differently.

Damn, my S8+ still holding up pretty well there! So happy with my phone, 2 days ago Samsung replaced my worn out display so now I have brand new shiny one but this time I went straight to a specialized shop and put an awesome protector. Now I was surprised when they informed me the phone was ready, when I went to pick it up the customer care agent told me they'd also replaced the battery so I also got a brand new battery and I can tell the difference because I had noticed a slight faster discharge in daily usage but now it's like when got it at launch. On top of that they gave me a clear case and palm sized premium cleaning cloth both Samsung branded. Now that's what I call service and customer care! Worth every penny! Here in Taiwan we get 2 year warranty so I still have 1 year and 5 months worry free 😊. I didn't even mention the launch promotion where they gave us $130 to spend on accessories. Even if the S9+ doesn't meet my expectations I know I'm good until the Note 9 😉

Love these battery drain videos 👌 But perhaps can't you add a couple more apps usage before moving onto the camera? Most phones had like half their battery left when starting the camera test. Realistically most people won't use half the time on camera on daily usage. But great videos anyway

A very disappointing performance from the iPhone X, especially considering the fact that it costs 1000$. The Razer phone should have done better too, with such a big battery.
