I was making a suggestion to their problem: try to be on during peak hrs (cause they don’t specify details like instance population and whether those in said instances have a comfortable amount @ decent rank that can attempt Castrum along with them--those are some things I personally check for when wanting to run Castrum Litore). And ‘if needed’ exchange clusters for priority. And if they were already doing that, then it’s just bad luck. Just have to keep trying.

People always say this but the run takes like 30-40 minutes to do on average. Now imagine that on Savage, where one mistake means wipe, imagine no checkpoints and if you leave you have to start over, imagine having no time to help new people because you are fighting against the clock as well as trying to hope you dont get idiots that cant do simple mechanics that are always in savage. Utter chaos.

Worst contet in the game right now, you need to wait and hour to spawn. And they lock the relic behind it. I tired to find an instance where more then 20 people want to do it, and basicly it end with wipe somwhere. It would be good idea as a duty finder instance. But now it's just a nightmare. So if it this shit at patch week i can't imageine how people will do it later. Basicly no one will be able to get Shadowbringer relic after a few week.

Got in today, finally, with 41/48. We even got to final bosses, but kept wiping to Leon's DPS check and failed to finish the run. That was frustrating, but Castrum in general is fun, if you find enough people willing to do it.

I just want to join the relic grind since it seems like it would actually keep me busy for while this time to bad I did not do Bozja when it was new since I was tricked into thinking it was optional for the relic and is locked out behind a now basically unbeatable 48man raid so great game design there. I hope enough people complain though so they can fix it in hopefully not to long.

I don't mind grinding as to me a relic is supposed to feel grindy, but locking it behind something that only spawns at certain times and where a group of 40+ people are required to beat it, is imo a bad game design.

Fervid Pulse (+) on Dawon is the worst. figuring out what direction Dawon is going to be facing when he jumps to it is just really gross. I wish it would be better signalled which direction he would face. So much mettle lost to that attack and that attack alone.

Finally spend some time in Bozja and JUST got my first Castrum. 18 people went in, someone early pulls bottom, top immediately wipes, everyone just leaves ....... I have never been more disappointed in this games community.

Super helpful guide. I haven't ran this since Week 1 so having this on hand was useful. But I got a funny story for ya'll. We get to the final boss after a few hiccups and the party I'm in is the only one with 8 people in it. We get volunteered for Lyon but most of us have never fought him before. We all agree to split the party so people who do know his mechanics can join. So I leave the party. But my screen turned black and I found myself back in Bozja. Turns out, I confused the party menu with the duty finder menu and I fucking left the raid. Absolutely big brained. I'm just going to run 5 CT and pretend like I beat it :))))

For last boss, just noticed that successfully completing the top add also gives all players pruple damage/defense up buff. And there's no enrage so the boss will repeat the last phase til the CE ends or he dies.

I am not interested in the Relic, I just want the new hairstyle and to do that, I need to unlock Delubrum Reginae, and for that, I have to clean Castrum and it never fills up. If they really planned to attract players to Bozjan, they did very badly

If you're far enough away from the pull in mechanic at the first top boss, you don't get the bleed. 5:52

Heya haps. You mentioned that the colossus spawns and then its basically just game over. I noticed that this was not the case, I casted death on it and killed it right away and we still lived like 5 minutes pasted that (top was reaaaaaaaly slow was about a 10 minute difference total)

The first boss alone is a whole encyclopedia of esoteric bullshit they expect the entire raid to memorize or fail BEFORE running it. How does anyone actually complete this?

Casturm can spawn while another Critical Engagement is under way. Which will catch people off guard. And probably lead to people just leaving casturm because of people not have time to prep proper compositions.

You can totally clear this with 24+ people. Any less and it becomes harder, but not impossible. You may not get all the prisoners, but you can still clear.

Big note: All of these deaths, if you do die to any of this--that's lost mettle. This also--and I could be wrong but going off what a friend told me who had done it--doesn't award you any mettle for doing it. While this may not be super hard, deaths are stupidly punishing and and it's easy to get them if you're not aware of what you're doing. Blind Bozja is just bloody mean, to be entirely honest.

You don't get mettle for doing it, no. I lost about 9k mettle the first time I ran it (2nd day bozja was out) as we wiped a few times and I died during fights, but considering how much mettle you get from other criticals it doesn't take too long to grind it back up (especially as castrum is on an hour cooldown pretty much). Just make sure that if you're close to ranking up, you try and rank up *before* going in, as you may lose mettle but you don't ever lose your rank.

Your rank level doesn't level down so just go in right after you've ranked up and done. It's not hard to get mettle anyway.

It's barely punishing at all and Blind Bozja, outside perhaps the top part of the final boss, is extremely easy. All encounters show you what mechanics do with markers before they start making them more difficut.

They're randomized. Earth, wind and electricity seem to be randomized which will happen in a particular instance.

At the start of the fight, the boss will select 3 or 4 elements, those are the ones it will use. The first time it does them, it will show you the telegraph, so you know how they operate. The second time and beyond, the telegraphs are removed, and he combines two of them together.

Fire orbs in the second fight are utter bullshit. I die even if I don't move or attack. I'm melee, get knocked back by water right before fire, so i cant even attack if i wanted to, and still get killed by fire.

First time I went in, died a lot, but cleared it. Second time I went in, people died a lot, we couldn't go past the #2 Boss. Granted our healers were the first to die every single time, so there's no way we can do it with no healers lol. They were pretty nice floor decors. One thing that did make things easier is limiting the amount of effects to just your party, I found that especially on 48 people raids it is a life saver. I was having trouble finding the orbs, once I limited the effects it was like night and day... They need to add this to the duty finder raid list and add it as part of the roulette... it's super hard to que for this, either full parties or no parties at all.

This event is stupid on SE part. Why design content that will guarantee 35% of the player base can’t do. Sure savage only 2% do it, but 100% of the players can unlock it and fail at it. You can be gods gift to FF14 and if no one wants to do it, you won’t. Burn in hell Castrum and the 17 tanks out of the 20 players that joined and wasted 5k mettle and 2 hours.....

You can farm the memories elsewhere, but accepting the relic weapon quests themselves requires you to progress the Bozja questline, so you can't skip it.
